An extrusion blow molding method includes detecting an exit velocity of a tube exiting a head during a blow molding cycle for forming the tube. A melt accumulator receives part of the melt conveyed by an extruder or discharges melt in addition to the melt conveyed by the extruder in dependence on the detected exit velocity. The melt accumulator discharges melt if the detected exit velocity is less than a target value for the exit velocity and receives melt if the detected exit velocity is greater than the target value for the exit velocity.

Extrusion blow-molding method and device for the performance thereof

The invention relates to a method for producing a plastics material article, said method including the extruding of a tube-shaped parison and the re-forming of the parison into a hollow body within a blow mold by applying differential pressure. The method includes initially a first expanding and partial shaping of the parison with the blow mold not completely closed. Then at least one opening is provided on the circumference of the pre-expanded parison. In a further step at least one part to be built-in is introduced through the opening into the interior of the partially shaped plastics material article. In a final step the blow mold is closed completely and the blow molding of the plastics material article is completed.

Method for producing a plastic article and blow mould for carrying out the method

In a process and apparatus for producing elongate curved hollow bodies at least partially comprising thermoplastic material a preform is extruded from an extrusion system head and engaged by a gripping means. The preform is moved by the gripping means into the region of a guide stencil disposed above the mold cavity of a mold portion of a divided blow molding mold and introduced into the mold cavity by a simultaneous downward movement of the gripping means and a movement following the configuration of the guide stencil. The guide stencil has two mutually opposite walls, the spacing of which increases in an upward direction and the spacing of which at the bottom of the guide stencil approximately corresponds to the maximum width of the mold cavity. The preform is thus guided towards the mold cavity by the walls, acquiring its definitive orientation with respect thereto by virtue of such guidance, passing through a lower opening in the guide stencil into the mold cavity. The mold is closed and the preform expanded therein by an increased internal pressure in the preform.
