A method for producing a sheet metal component, in particular a motor vehicle structural component, includes the following steps: providing a basic structure consisting of a hot formable material, arranging at least one reinforcing structure in a region to be reinforced of the basic structure, preliminarily or definitively fixing the reinforcing structure to the basic structure, in particular by an integrally bonded connection, cold forming the basic structure with the reinforcing structure arranged thereon, and press hardening the basic structure with the reinforcing structure arranged thereon.

Method for producing a sheet metal component

A press-hardened shaped metal sheet has at least two adjacent zones having different sheet thicknesses and different strengths such that one of the zones is press-hardened and the other zone is non-hardened or only slightly hardened. A transition zone, which is simultaneously designed as a thickness transition zone and as a strength transition zone, is located between the zones. The press-hardened shaped metal sheet is preferably a pillar reinforcement for a motor vehicle body.

A motor vehicle has a body, wherein the body has body openings, in which auxiliary devices such as lamps, turn indicators, or the like are arranged. A body wall surrounds the body opening and has a body flange formed at the particular body opening, to which body wall a cup-shaped insert is fastened, wherein the particular auxiliary device is fastened to the cup-shaped insert. The cup-shaped insert has a peripheral or partially peripheral, bent flange segment having a fastening segment, which extends parallel to an inner surface of the body wall surrounding the body opening. A glue or an adhesive layer is applied between the outer surface of the fastening segment of the flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the inner surface of the body wall. A seal is arranged in an intermediate space between a flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the body wall.

Motor vehicle

A fastening assembly is provided for a roof add-on part of a motor vehicle, which has a roof skin element, an outer roof side frame, and a roof-add-on-part fastening element, which has a thread for detachably fastening the roof add-on part. The roof-add-on-part fastening element is fastened to a support plate. The support plate is arranged on a flange of the outer roof side frame and is fixed by a blind rivet only to the flange of the outer roof side frame, in such a way that the support plate and the flange of the outer roof side frame are jammed, in particular against each other.
