A method can be used for monitoring a processing circuit. The processing circuit generates a response to a request and the response is compared with an expected response. A pass pulse is generated when the response matches the expected response. The causing, comparing and generating steps are repeated a number of times A frequency at which pass pulses occur is evaluated.

Monitoring circuit with a signature watchdog

Systems, devices, methods, and techniques are disclosed for open load detection in the connections coming from output stages of electrical systems. In some examples, an open load detection circuit includes a circuit output configured to provide an output voltage to a load, a first switch coupled to the circuit output and coupled to a first supply voltage configured to switch the load, and at least one delta voltage circuit coupled to the circuit output configured to provide a delta voltage. The at least one delta voltage circuit is coupled to the first switch to create a reduction in voltage magnitude of the first supply voltage to a switch voltage of the first switch provided to the circuit output. The open load detection circuit also includes at least one current source coupled to the circuit output to provide a current to the circuit output.

Open load detection in output stages

Circuit arrangement including an interface, a protection circuit and a measurement circuit. The interface is configured to receive a signal. The protection circuit is coupled to the interface. The protection circuit is configured to limit a voltage provided by the interface to a protection voltage. A method of monitoring a processing circuit is disclosed. The processing circuit is operable, in a normal operation mode, to generate a sequence of trigger commands, with at least one trigger command of the sequence of trigger commands including time information. At least one window sequence with a closed window period and an open window period is generated such that the duration of the closed window period and/or the open window period is defined, at least in part, by the time information. It is detected if one trigger command is received within the open window period of the at least one sequence.

The acquisition circuit further has a detector adapted for receiving the coupling signal and for providing the first and second validation signals, wherein the relation between the validation signals is based on the information on the phase of the output signal, wherein the frequency of the alternator output signal is derivable from the validation signals and the validity information is derivable from the relation between the validation signals.
