In the present invention a family of preferably bio-based resins is disclosed. The resins exhibit a broad range of applicability in terms of suitable processing techniques. The resins are designed in a manner that allows the introduction of functional in the resin backbone capable of providing adhesion towards reinforcements. The invention also relates to specimen manufactured with said resin.

A device for absorbing heat generated by curing of a curable matrix material, particularly heat generated by curing of a curable matrix material embedding a textile structure including a number of reinforcing fibers is provided. The device includes at least one envelope element defining at least one inner volume, and at least one thermally conductive heat absorbing element disposed within the at least one inner volume of the at least one envelope element. In a further embodiment, the at least one envelope element may be built of or include at least one non-adhering material which does not adhere to the curable or cured matrix material.

A casting apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a resin overflow container for use in casting processes, comprising: a curing accelerator for a resin in the overflow container. The resin overflow container may include a compartment arranged within the overflow container. The compartment may be adapted to release the curing accelerator after the overflow container has been at least partly filled with resin. The apparatus may also include a mold; and a drain connecting the mold and the overflow container or being part of an overflow container outlet for drawing off resin of the overflow container.

A method for modifying a rate of temperature change of an epoxy resin composition in a resin container during a resin casting process is proposed. The resin composition has at least one epoxy monomer component and a curing agent. A passivation agent for the curing agent is added to the epoxy resin composition. A resin container arrangement for use in such a resin transfer moulding process, a composite product having an epoxy resin composition, and a use of an organic acid in an epoxy resin casting process as a passivation agent for modifying the rate of temperature change in a resin container containing an epoxy resin composition are proposed.

A method of accelerating a curing process in resin overflow systems for use in casting processes includes the step of adding a curing accelerator for the resin into the resin overflow system. In addition, a resin overflow container and a compartment with a curing accelerator for use in casting processes are provided.

A method of establishing a profitability model for use in the establishment of a wind power plant, the method including the steps of: establishing wind power plant-related data related to a scenario; calculating the profitability of the wind power plant by using a data processing system, by making use of the wind power-related data such as solution parameters and financing parameters, in relation to at least one scenario; and presenting a profitability model related to establishing a wind power plant based on the scenario and the calculated profitability using data processing system. Benefits of this profitability model minimizes risk and improves the basis for decision regarding the establishment of a wind power plant.
