Wound therapy compression garments and layered dressing kits are described. In an aspect, a kit includes a compression garment and one or more fenestrated dressing layers. The compression garment includes a plurality of hydrophobic longitudinal wales arranged to form a fabric with a plurality of hydrophilic transverse elastomeric threads under variable tension connecting adjacent ones of the hydrophobic longitudinal wales in such way as to deliver elastic compression at a wound site. The hydrophobic longitudinal wales and the hydrophilic transverse elastomeric threads cooperate to generate hydrostatic pressure for transporting fluid away from the wound site. The fenestrated dressing layer(s) is configured to form a textured interface with the compression garment and increase movement of fluid away from the wound site.

Wound dressing garments, kits, systems, and methods

A graduated compression garment is disclosed that includes a plurality of longitudinal fuzzy wales arranged to form a fabric with a plurality of transverse elastomeric threads under variable tension connecting the adjacent longitudinal fuzzy wales to deliver a first level of elastic compression distally on a limb and a gradually decreasing level of elastic compression as the limb increases in diameter proximally.

Compression garment

A transpyloric jejunostomy cannulating apparatus includes an abdominal wall trocar having an elongated shaft and a sharpened tapered end for passage through a patient's abdominal wall. A tubular sheath is telescopically slidable onto the trocar for passage through the abdominal wall with it. An elongated generally tubular gastrostomy introducer has one end adapted for connection to a suction source and a free end portion tapering toward a free end of reduced width for insertion through the gastric wall into the lumen of a stomach. The introducer has an inlet opening adjacent the free end for aspirating the stomach. An elongated slotted cannulator, generally c-shaped in cross section, has an external width for passage through the sheath and an internal width to accommodate passage of the introducer therethrough. The cannulator may be manipulated through the pylorus for directing an elongated flexible feed tube previously inserted through the sheath in the abdominal wall, through the gastric wall, pylorus and duodenum into the jejunum beyond the ligament of Treitz.
