Systems and methods for intelligently delivering fluid to a targeted tissue are described. The systems and methods may include directing a pump to distribute fluid to a targeted tissue and receiving one or more signals from an intracorporeal sensing system, where the one or more signals correspond to one or more sensed feedback parameters at the targeted tissue. The systems and methods may also include determining whether the one or more sensed feedback parameters are within an acceptable range. If the one or more sensed feedback parameters are not within the acceptable range, the systems and methods may include determining an adjusted velocity for the plunger necessary to adjust the pressure of the fluid in the pump so that the one or more sensed feedback parameters move within the acceptable range and directing the pump to distribute the fluid at the adjusted velocity.

A device for delivery of a radiopharmaceutical and, in some embodiments, delivery of a pharmaceutical agent are described herein. Various other components for delivery systems including tubing management systems, primer caps, diffusion chambers, radiation shields and syringe shields, and other devices and methods are also described.

Systems and methods for intelligently delivering fluid to a targeted tissue. The systems and methods may include directing a pump to distribute fluid to a targeted tissue and receiving one or more signals from an intracorporeal sensing system, where the one or more signals correspond to one or more sensed feedback parameters at the targeted tissue. The systems and methods may also include determining whether the one or more sensed feedback parameters are within an acceptable range. If the one or more sensed feedback parameters are not within the acceptable range, the systems and methods may include determining an adjusted velocity for the plunger necessary to adjust the pressure of the fluid in the pump so that the one or more sensed feedback parameters move within the acceptable range and directing the pump to distribute the fluid at the adjusted velocity.

A device for delivery of a radiopharmaceutical and delivery of a pharmaceutical agent are described. Various other components for delivery systems including tubing management systems, primer caps, diffusion chambers, radiation shields and syringe shields, needle handles, and other devices and methods are also described. Specifically, needle handles having a needle handle body attachable to a portion of a needle, and one or more wings or fins which are grasped by a user are described. The needle handle may be separated from the needle after insertion of the needle into a subject, and/or may provide access to a portion of tubing extending from the needle.

An injector system for use in injecting a fluid into a patient includes a communication system adapted to receive data from at least a first sensor that measures a value first variable. The communication system is also adapted to receive data from a calibrated sensor that measures a value the first variable. The injector system further includes a calibration system adapted to calibrate output from the first sensor in response to output from the calibrated sensor. An injector for use in injecting a fluid into a patient, includes a first sensor that measures a value first variable, a communication port adapted to receive data from a calibrated sensor that measures the value the first variable, and a controller adapted to compare data from the calibrated sensor with data from the first sensor and to calibrate output from the first sensor. The devices, systems and methods of the present invention are applicable to systems other than injection systems. For example, a method for calibrating a system (for example, an injector system) includes: placing a calibrated sensor in communication with the system; making a measurement of the value of at least a first variable with the calibrated sensor; transmitting the measured value from the calibrated sensor to the system via a data communication system in operative connection between the calibrated sensor and the system; making a measurement of the value of the first variable with a sensor of the system at approximately the same time as the measurement made with the calibrated sensor; comparing the value of the first variable measured with the calibrated sensor with the value of the first variable measured with the system sensor; and calibrating the output of the system sensor at least in part based upon the comparison.

Devices, systems and method for calibration of systems

An injector for use in injecting a fluid in a medical injection procedure includes a drive having a motor to pressurize the fluid; a sensor to provide a measure of fluid pressure; and a pressure monitor in communication with the sensor and the drive to stop the motor using 4-quadrant control when the sensor communicates a measured pressure of at least a pressure hazard limit. The pressure monitor also limits power input to the motor to a power limit once the sensor communicates a measured pressure of at least a power limiting pressure. The power limiting pressure is below the pressure hazard limit.

Pneumatic excavator

A portable excavator having a tube to point a supersonic gas stream at a buried object. The excavator includes a movable member disposed within the conduit to pulse gas passing through the conduit and a supersonic gas nozzle at the exit of the conduit. Compressed gas delivered to the conduit exits the nozzle in a pulsed manner at two to three Hz. The movable member includes a piston which blocks gas from flowing through the conduit by the biasing force of a spring. When the force from the pressure differential across the piston exceeds the biasing force, the piston moves and allows gas to flow through the conduit until the force from the pressure differential across the piston is less than the biasing force.

An excavation head, mounted on one end of a telescoping hollow boom, has nozzles for directing jets of high speed air at an excavation face to loosen soil. A vacuum transport pipe extends from the excavation head through the hollow of the boom to a spherical joint. The spherical joint movably joins the other end of the boom to a primary separator. The primary separator is a chamber for disentraining loosened soil from air flowing through the primary separator. A primary air lock is fixed to the lower portion of the primary separator for expelling soil from the primary separator. A secondary separator is joined to the primary separator by way of a separator connector pipe. A secondary air lock is fixed to the lower portion of the secondary separator for expelling soil from the secondary separator. A positive displacement vacuum pump has its vacuum side pneumatically connected to the secondary separator. A conveyor is located under both the primary air lock and the secondary air lock to receive soil that is expelled by these air locks. Hydraulic actuators lift, swing, and extend the boom such that the excavation head is positioned on the excavation face.
