An apparatus for manufacturing a three-dimensional object by a layer-by-layer solidification of building material at the points corresponding to the cross-section of the object to be manufactured in a respective layer. The apparatus includes a process chamber in which the object is to be built up layer by layer by selectively solidifying layers of a building material in a build area, a gas supply device, and a recirculating air filter device, wherein the apparatus comprises a pressure stabilization device configured to keep the pressure in the process chamber substantially constant.

Apparatus and method for manufacturing a three-dimensional object

A modular system () for producing a three-dimensional object () by layerwise application and selective solidification of a pulverulent build material () contains a first module (-) suitable for carrying out a first process used for the production of the three-dimensional object (), and at least a second and a third module (-) suitable for carrying out a further process used for the production of the three-dimensional object (). The first to third modules (-) are configured so that the second or the third module, or both, can selectively and replaceably be connected to the first module in such a way that their housings are coupled to one another directly.

Device for the production of a three-dimensional object in layers

A device and a method for layerwise, generative production of three-dimensional objects are provided. Multiple objects are produced in parallel in distinct process chambers () by means of successive application of layers of a building material and subsequent solidifying of a layer and interconnecting of the layer with the previously applied layer, respectively, by means of radiation. The radiation is supplied to a part of the process chambers by a radiation source which is arranged outside of the process chambers, while an application of a layer takes place in another part of the process chambers.
