A magnetic resonance (MR) local coil and a magnetic resonance apparatus are disclosed. The MR local coil includes an antenna unit having at least one antenna for receiving and/or transmitting high frequency (HF) signals; a connection cable for connecting the MR local coil to a magnetic resonance apparatus; and a two-dimensional, (e.g., ribbon-shaped), transmission element for transmitting energy, (e.g., electrical energy), and/or signals, (e.g., electrical and/or optical signals), between the connection cable and the antenna unit. In this case, the transmission element is at least in part arranged about an axis of rotation in a spiral manner.

A transmission apparatus for transmitting an intermediate frequency signal and an oscillator signal for mixing down the intermediate frequency signal, a magnetic resonance tomograph with a local coil, a receive unit, and a transmission apparatus are provided. The transmission apparatus has a symmetrical transmission line for transmission of the oscillator signal and the intermediate frequency signal and a symmetrizing element for adaptation of an unsymmetrical signal source and/or signal sink to the symmetrical transmission line. The symmetrizing element has only ferrite-free inductances. The local coil and the receive unit are connected for signaling purposes via the transmission apparatus.

Transmission of magnetic resonance signals by differential cable routing

A shielded connection line for a magnetic resonance tomography system includes a signal conductor, a shield for the signal conductor, and a plug-in connector. The plug-in connector has a large number of connection contacts that are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix and are electrically insulated from each other in the plug-in connector. The signal conductor is in galvanic contact with a first connection contact, and three second connection contacts adjacent to the first connection contact and surrounding the first connection contact are galvanically connected to the shield.

Shielded connection line for magnetic resonance tomography system

A printed circuit board (PCB) is flat, providing a top side and a bottom side. A plurality of terminations is disposed on the top side in proximity to one end face of the PCB. Each termination has at least one contact that is connected to a respective conductor track of the PCB. The respective conductor track is connected to a respective local coil or to a contact disposed on the top side or the bottom side of a respective further termination. The local coil and/or at least one of the further terminations are disposed in proximity to the other end face. A basic shield impervious to frequencies in a magnetic resonance range is disposed on the top side and/or the bottom side, and an auxiliary shield electrically connected to the basic shield and impervious to frequencies in the magnetic resonance range is disposed on narrow sides of the PCB.

A local coil for a magnetic resonance device includes a connector apparatus for establishing a connection to a plug-in station on a patient couch and at least one storage facility. The storage facility may be used to read out by way of the connection and may store at least one non-modifiable data item describing a property of the local coil. The storage facility may include at least one detection facility for acquiring measurement values describing the state of the local coil and at least one evaluation facility configured to modify the readout address of the storage facility as a function of the measurement values.

An array antenna for magnetic resonance applications has at least one first and one second conductor loop in which radio-frequency currents oscillate in respective current flow directions in the operation of the array antenna. The respective conductor loops are divided into first or second loop segments in their respective current flow directions. The first loop segments are capacitively coupled with one another by first capacitors, the second loop segments are capacitively coupled with one another of second capacitors. The loop segments are fashioned as conductor traces of a circuit board that has at least one first and one second electrically insulating support layer. The support layers abut one another with the exception of conductor traces arranged between the first support layer and the second support layer. The capacitors are respectively formed by end regions of the first or second loop segments abutting one another as viewed in the respective current flow direction. The end regions overlap as viewed in the respective current flow direction. Exactly one of the support layers is between the overlapping end regions of the loop segments. The first and the second conductor loops intersect in intersection regions. Neither the a loop segments of the first conductor loop nor a loop segments of the second conductor loop are arranged between the first support layer and the second support layer in the intersection regions.
