An electric coolant pump includes a pump housing, an electric motor, and a pump wheel. The pump housing has a pumping chamber and a motor chamber which are separated by a separation sidewall. The pumping chamber has a pump volute which extends from a pump inlet to a pump outlet. A volute cooling sector of the pump volute extends over a volute angle of 120&#xb0;. The separation sidewall has a cooling section which is defined by the volute cooling sector. The electric motor includes a motor rotor, a motor stator having a stator coil arrangement, and a motor electronics arranged in the motor chamber which energizes the stator coil arrangement. The pump wheel is arranged in the pumping chamber and is connected with the motor rotor. The stator coil arrangement is arranged adjacent to the volute cooling sector and thermally contacts the cooling section of the separation sidewall.

Electric coolant pump

A canned electric motor for a fluid pump. The canned electric motor includes a static motor frame, a rotor shaft, a rotatable motor rotor which is co-rotatably connected with the rotor shaft, a static motor stator having a stator body which is directly fixed to the static motor frame, and a separating can which fluidically separates the static motor stator from the rotatable motor rotor. The separating can has a first axial support which protrudes radially from an outside of the separating can. The separating can is supported in a first axial direction by the stator body via the first axial support and in a second axial direction by the static motor frame. The first axial direction is opposite to the second axial direction.

Canned electric motor

An electronically commutated electric motor includes a stator with stator coil(s), a magnetized rotor which rotates relative to the stator, the magnetized rotor having at least two opposite magnet poles which generate an excitation field, a static magnetic field sensor which detects the excitation field and generates a sensor signal having signal edges, a full-wave signal period, and half-wave lengths of an N- and an S-signal level, a motor energizing device which drives the stator coil(s) and generates a revolving stator field when triggered by a trigger signal, a memory unit which saves parameter values, and an evaluation unit which generates the trigger signal via a shift compensation of an asymmetric shift of the signal edges of the sensor signal. The shift compensation is calculated based on a position of a received sensor signal edge, the full-wave signal period, and the half-wave lengths of the sensor signal.

Electronically commutated electric motor and method for controlling the same

An electrical device includes a brushless one-phase driving motor which drives a mechanical unit. The brushless one-phase driving motor includes a motor rotor which is radially permanently magnetized and which rotates around a rotational rotor axis, a non-symmetric stator back-iron structure which includes a rotor opening for the motor rotor and a lateral bridge portion which magnetically connect two stator poles, a single stator coil which surrounds the lateral bridge portion, a pole separation gap arranged radially opposite to the lateral bridge portion, the pole separation gap magnetically separating the two stator poles, an electronic control device which drives the single stator coil, and a single hall sensor which is electrically connected to the electronic control device. The single hall sensor is arranged approximately radially opposite to the single stator coil with respect to the rotational rotor axis.

Electrical device

An electric fluid pump for a motor vehicle includes a housing composite, a pump unit, a drive motor, a rotor shaft, and a motor controller which controls the drive motor. The housing composite defines a pump space, which includes a pump rotor space wherein a pump rotor of the pump unit is arranged, and a motor space wherein the drive motor is arranged, which together comprise a common end wall. The drive motor includes a motor stator, a motor coil arrangement, and a motor rotor. The rotor shaft co-rotatably connected to the motor rotor, and is arranged through the common end wall to rotate jointly with the pump rotor. The common end wall is a mounting wall part on which at least the motor controller is arranged. The motor coil arrangement is arranged on the motor stator and is provided on a side which is opposite to the motor controller.
