A treatment delivery system which uses a flexible plastic outer container and a smaller, readily burstable, thin film plastic inner container fixedly positioned in the outer container. The inner container contains a treatment solution and a dry foam appliance is loosely placed within the inner container. When the inner container is burst by applying pressure to the outer container at a position which corresponds to the position of the inner container therein, the treatment solution comes into contact with the foam appliance so as to be absorbed by, and to wet the appliance. The wetted foam appliance can then be removed from the outer container for use.

Biostable treatment delivery system

A new therapeutic polymeric foam dental appliance is disclosed for utilization in the treatment of teeth and/or gums, as well as a method of preparing said appliance by reaction of a polyurethane foam prepolymer with an aqueous treatment solution. A sterile, prepackaged therapeutic dental appliance in ready to use form by dental professionals is also disclosed.

Therapeutic dental appliance

A transdermal medication delivery system in which a housing includes a power source for supplying programmed current pulses to an electrical current path which includes an electrically charged medication and a body location at which the medication is placed. The level of the current pulses and the time over which they are provided is controlled to deliver a predetermined dosage of the medication to the body location at a predetermined rate.

Drug delivery device

A transdermal medication delivery system in which the medication is retained in a non-charged form such that it can be electrically charged. A d-c electrical current is supplied through the retained medication when it is in its electrically charged form and current control is used to control the current level. The electrical current supply circuit, the control circuit, the retained charged medication, and the body location of a patient to which the medication is to be delivered transdermally, form a closed loop during operation so that the current is maintained at a substantially constant level while being delivered to the body location. Such delivery can be terminated if the current exceeds a maximum allowable level.

Iontophoresis drug delivery system

A dental materials dispenser is disclosed with an actuator operated by an electronically controlled motor. The dispenser may be used in conjunction with a disposable cartridge removably mountable in the dispenser. The cartridge includes a hollow needle comprising an integral heating element along its length. An electronic controller regulates the speed and direction of the motor and the current delivered to the heating element.

Dental materials dispenser and applicator

An electronic weighing device is described wherein a Hall effect device and its associated magnetic field is used to provide an electrical signal proportional to the weight of an object and the signal is used to operate a display device. In one embodiment the Hall effect device and a magnet are mounted between a base platform and the weighing platform of the scale to respond to relative motion therebetween and the weighing platform is supported from the base platform by a plurality of resilient support members.
