An endotracheal tube guide has a lower blade portion of generally semicircular configuration which permits an endotracheal tube guide to be manipulated or guided in the posterior direction during intubation, as well as in the anterior, lateral and medial directions. The tube has an angled handle extending in a direction opposite from that of the blade portion such that the user's hand will not obstruct the view of the endotracheal tube guide being engaged by the guide.

Endotracheal tube guide

A completely self-contained nerve stimulator/locator unit to be clamped on the syringe of a conventional syringe and injection needle assembly. The unit contains a power supply, a pulse generating circuit, a patient detector switch for automatically activating the generator when the injection needle touches the patient's body, a manually controlled current-adjusting potentiometer for permitting the physician to adjust the current values of the pulses, and an indicator for visually indicating the generation of each pulse. An LED/LCD digital display is also provided on the unit for displaying the current values of the pulses applied to the patient's body.

Clamp-on nerve stimulator and locator

An endotracheal tube retractor used to facilitate endotracheal intubation and endotracheal tube placement is provided with an angled handle and a scoop-shaped blade for engaging and manipulating an endotracheal tube. The retractor may be used in both the direct and blind orotracheal and nasotracheal intubation techniques.

A syringe and injection needle assembly with a gravity-responsive inclinometer for indicating the angle of inclination of the needle relative to a patient's skin. A plastic coupling tube for insertion between the syringe and needle of a conventional syringe and injection needle assembly and having means for mounting the inclinometer. The coupling tube may have an auxiliary inlet for receiving a second syringe, in which case a three-way valve is incorporated in the coupling tube for selectively providing fluid flow communication between the two syringes and the injection needle. The coupling tube may also be used without the inclinometer for the purpose of providing means for coupling a second syringe to the injection needle.

Injecting needle with inclinometer

An endotracheal tube of the inflatable cuff type and having a suction chamber adjacent the upper side of the cuff. The suction chamber is in the shape of a bulge having four ports equally spaced about the periphery of the bulge and facing upwardly. Suction applied to the chamber will extract fluids from the trachea above the cuff without invaginating the tracheal mucosa. Medicinal fluids may also be introduced into the trachea via the suction chamber and ports.
