The invention relates to a method for edge coating on work pieces, comprising the following steps: inducing a relative movement between a work piece (W) and an application unit (), which application unit () is provided for applying a mass; setting an application region for applying the mass, in particular in accordance with the width of the edge of a work piece to be provided with the mass; applying the mass to an edge of the work piece (W) to form a three-dimensional body. Said work pieces can be, in particular elements or parts from the furniture or components industry.

Method and device for narrow surface coating

A method for coating a surface portion of a plate-like workpiece with a coating material is disclosed, wherein the workpiece is formed at least partially of wood, wood materials, plastic materials and the like, wherein the method includes coating the surface portion of the workpiece with a coating material by use of a coating unit, wherein the surface portion is formed in a coating direction with an angle that changes with respect to the plane of the workpiece at an angle of 0&#xb0;&#x3c;&#x3b1;&#x3c;90&#xb0; with respect to the plane, and has a curvature in the coating direction, and mechanically adjusting the coating unit during processing such that the position of the coating unit with respect to that part of the surface portion that is currently being processed is constant. Also disclosed is an apparatus having a control device for carrying out this method.

Processing method and processing apparatus for coating a surface portion

A coating unit for a coating machine for coating plate- or strip-shaped workpieces, which contain wood, wood materials, plastic, or the like at least in some sections, with a coating material. The coating unit includes a first interface for accommodating an exchangeable joining-agent processing device and for supplying said exchangeable joining-agent processing device with energy, and a first exchangeable joining-agent processing device that can be coupled to the first interface, which first exchangeable joining-agent processing device has an energy conversion device for converting the energy provided via the interface in order to prepare a joining agent for joining the coating material.

Coating unit

The invention concerns a processing device for processing workpieces that are preferably made at least partially of wood, wooden materials, plastics or the like, comprising a machine bed and at least one processing unit joined to the machine bed, wherein the machine bed comprises a base body that is made at least in sections of a curable compound. The processing device of the invention is characterized in that the base body and/or at least a part of the processing unit is made at least in sections of cementitious concrete, in particular fiber concrete.
