A method is for producing an ornamental design (O) in a clearcoat layer (K). The ornamental design (O) is produced by a selective matting of the clearcoat layer (K) by working the clearcoat layer (K) by a laser. The working of the clearcoat layer may be performed by a UV laser. Additionally, the working of the clearcoat layer K may be performed by electromagnetic waves at a wavelength of about 355 nm. Furthermore, the working of the clearcoat layer K may be performed by a laser operating at a frequency of about 23 500 Hz. Still further, the working of the clearcoat layer (K) may be performed by a laser operating with a pulse duration of about 2 &#x3bc;s. The working of the clearcoat layer (K) may be performed by a laser operating with a line spacing of about 0.03 mm.

Method for producing an ornamental design in a clearcoat layer

A motor vehicle has a wing () with a cutout () and a covering part for covering the cutout (). The covering part is formed by a panel () that is visible from outside and by a closing part () that holds the panel () from the inside against the cutout (). To further increase the functionality of the covering part a connection in terms of flow extends between the closing part () and/or the panel () and headlight unit/lamp unit ().

Covering part

A drainage arrangement for a tailgate of a motor vehicle body has water outflow spouts in the inner panel of the tailgate. The water outflow spouts are arranged correspondingly to water outflow openings in a rear part or a rear-end trim panel of the body behind a vehicle license plate as viewed in relation to the direction of travel.

An aerodynamically constructed covering part for the underside of a motor vehicle, particularly a passenger car, is provided with an inflow opening and an air guiding element arranged adjacent to the inflow opening. In the driving operation, a partial flow of the cooling air flowing through between the covering part and the roadway is guided through the inflow opening and the air guiding element situated at least in areas above the covering part to an assembly and/or a chassis part situated above. In order to simplify the fastening between the covering part and the air guiding element, it is provided that the air guiding element is inserted into a receiving opening of the covering part and is separably connected with the covering part by way of slide-detent connections.

Aerodynamically constructed covering part for the underside of a passenger car, and method of making same

An air inlet conduit for a cooler of a vehicle has an air conduction scoop inserted into an opening of a vehicle body skin part on its air inlet side. The air inlet conduit is supported by way of a surrounding collar section on an exterior side of the vehicle body skin part, a scoop section extending away from an outer collar section of the air conduction scoop, which scoop section projects into a hollow space of the vehicle body skin part situated behind the latter. The air conduction scoop is connected to an adjoining closed flow-through conduit. So that, during the mounting of the air conduction scoop and/or of the flow-through conduit without any gauge and independently of worker skills, a constant gap is always ensured between the air conduction scoop and the adjoining vehicle body skin part, several trim lugs, which are arranged in pairs on the edge of the opening and project into the opening, are provided. The trim lugs interact in a form-locking manner with positioning pins or positioning sections of the air conduction scoop and/or of the flow-through conduit.
