A simplified filing system which can be mounted on a stand-alone support structure, or mounted on a support structure that attaches directly to a wall in a storage area. The filing system comprises rows of support carriages for storage with all but the bottom row capable of lateral movement via a roller assembly to permit access to lower rows of storage areas. The support carriages contain hanging files or storage baskets to store a variety of documents or other items for storage.

Simplified filing system

An interlock system for use in an array of retractable storage cradles. The instant system prevents the opening of more than one cradle at one time through a slide modified generally by a biased cam insertion-extraction means and a column of movable components. The system can be used in free-standing file cabinets as well as prefabricated and modular storage units.

File interlock system

An improved shelf is provided with a divider arrangement formed of a substantially resilient material having portions for engaging with vertical and horizontal members of the shelf, the divider arrangement providing stiffening and support for the shelf.
