To hold loudspeakers of different sizes in an instrument panel of a motor vehicle, a holding plate with a cutout for inserting a first variant of a circular loudspeaker is arranged in the wall part of a defroster duct, and the holding plate can, by means of predetermined breaking points arranged at the edge in the direction of the wall part, be detached in order to obtain a further, larger cutout for inserting a second variant of a rectangular loudspeaker.

Holding device for loudspeakers in a motor vehicle

A support part serves is arranged in an instrument panel of a motor vehicle to hold a vehicle data display unit having an integrated navigation or radio unit. The support part has a single-piece frame composed of a magnesium pressure die cast material with a central holding frame for the unit and lateral holding frames for the air outlets. The support part is connected at one side to the instrument panel and another side to the cockpit cross member. Centering receptacles for the unit and further centering receptacles for the air outlets are arranged in the central holding frame and in the two lateral holding frames. Centering elements are arranged on the unit and on the air outlet correspondingly to the centering receptacles of the holding frames.

Support part

A covering element for covering an air duct on a dashboard in a motor vehicle is of one-piece design and has two lateral air outflow areas and a loudspeaker area arranged therebetween. Each lateral air outflow area is subdivided into a central area that can be connected to communicate with the air duct, and at least one further air outlet area, via which waste heat from electronic assemblies can be discharged.

One-piece covering element

A flap configuration has a flap for closing a receptacle and a closing slide guided displaceably parallel to the flap plane in the closing slide guide. The closing slide is inserted with one end into a latching opening in a wall and brought out of engagement with the latching opening by a closing slide drive against a spring force by way of a latch element guided in the latching opening. In an opposite receptacle wall from the latching opening, a guide opening is positioned coaxially with the latching opening and the closing slide guide. In the latching opening, a closing latch biased in the direction of the closing slide is guided, and engages, when the flap is latched in place, in an open end of the closing slide guide. The closing slide drive unlatches the flap.

Flap configuration

An instrument panel has a passenger airbag system such that, in the deployment of the airbag, an airbag cover on the top side of the instrument panel adjacent to the windshield is upwardly displaceable in the direction of the windshield about a transverse pivot axis. Thereby, a passage for the actual airbag of the passenger airbag module is cleared. In order to prevent damage to the windshield due to the airbag cover being pivoted upward when the airbag is deployed, a transverse intended breaking line is provided on the airbag cover at a distance from the pivot axis so that the airbag cover is bent upward about this intended breaking line when it comes to rest against the windshield.

A holder for a food or beverage container includes a housing having an opening, a holding arm having a retracted position, and a multipartite mask arrangement associated with the housing opening. The multipartite mask arrangement includes a plurality of masks mounted for movement on the housing, and the masks are movable independently of one another from an open position uncovering the housing opening to a closed position closing the housing opening. The holding arm includes a receiver for the container and is received in the housing in the retracted position. The mask arrangement closes the housing opening when the holding arm is at the retracted position, and at least partially uncovers the housing opening for a deployment of the holding arm.

A knee protection device for a motor vehicle, is arranged in the area of a control panel and comprises a knee impact wall having a foam material pad, which knee impact wall extends adjacent to knees of vehicle occupants. The knee impact wall has an inner shell and an outer shell which bound a cavity accommodating the foam material pad and are assembled at connection zones as well as mutually connected by suitable measures.

Knee protection device for occupants of a motor vehicle

A flexible gap covering between an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle and an instrument panel, on one side, is fastened to the steering column covering and, on the other side, is fastened to the instrument panel. A flexible gap covering which permits a large adjusting range of the steering column, is easy to mount and has a corresponding appearance, has an upper covering and a lower covering. The upper covering is formed of two parts, which are arranged above one another and are fixedly connected with one another in a joint overlapping area. At least one tensioning element is applied to the overlapping area on the side facing away from the vehicle occupant compartment.

Flexible gap covering between an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle and an instrument panel and method of making same

A knee support is arranged inside a body of the motor vehicle and exhibits a transverse frame member, which extends at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle, is held at rigid, lateral body structures, and is provided with at least one deformation element. This deformation element comprises several hollow brackets, defined by bracket walls, and is covered by a support wall, facing the occupants' knees. The deformation element exhibits a first hollow bracket segment, which runs along the support wall, and a second additional hollow bracket segment, which is arranged at an angle to the first hollow bracket segment, whereby the second hollow bracket segment is attached to the transverse frame member.

Knee support for motor vehicles

An arrangement for holding beverage cans or similar receptacles in the interior of vehicles is provided inside, in the upper area of a glove compartment, and comprises at least one receiving part for at least one beverage can. The receiving part is displaceable from a covered inoperative position inside the glove compartment into an operative position in front of the dashboard, and a swivellably disposed glove compartment cover is assigned to the glove compartment. When the receiving part is displaced into the operative position, the arrangement does not require the opening of the glove compartment cover. The glove compartment cover extends only approximately to the lower edge of the arrangement, and the arrangement comprises at least one separate flap which has a low height and can be operated separately from the glove compartment cover.
