An imaging control facility allows an operator of an electronic device to submit a single imaging request to image a selected electronic document in multiple imaging formats. The imaging control facility may include an imaging control library that provides visual representations, such as icons, for representing predefined multiple imaging format settings. In addition, the image central facility is drag and drop compatible so that an operator may configure one or more selected image forming devices to image an electronic document in multiple imaging formats by dragging and dropping a selected icon onto a designated target area.

Method for imaging multiple sets of an electronic document on one or more image forming devices

A remote user interface provided for accessing diagnostic information from reprographic equipment, thereby enabling display of service and fault history and allowing manipulation of diagnostic routines by emulation or mimicking of the user interface commands of the user interface associated with the faulted machine. As a result, service personnel can remotely access a faulted machine and manipulate it via its diagnostic system or diagnostic system that can emulate its diagnostic systems to allow improved preparation for service calls and the lessening of broken service calls for lack of appropriate service information, replacement parts or test equipment.

Remote/shared system user interface

A reprographic machine includes an inventory tracking system for monitoring consumable supplies. Usage data from a plurality of networked reprographic machines is supplied to a single tracking system for monitoring inventories of supplies consumed by the network. Automatic or semi-automatic ordering can be provided via a remote interactive communication system. Order confirmation, projected shipment dates and shipment confirmations can be provided from the reorder site. The system can provide inventory monitoring customized to a local network.

Consumable supplies monitoring/ordering system for reprographic equipment

A printshop management scheduling routine and system which provide optimum scheduling of printer jobs on a network. The scheduling routine utilizes the total complex of printers available at local location and/or remote locations to allocate and complete printer jobs based on a plurality of criteria, including requested completion time for the project. If requested completion time does not allow printing of the print job by a sole printer, the print job is allocated to a plurality of available printers, each printing a portion of the complete print job.
