A mobile radiography apparatus has a moveable (e.g., wheeled) transport frame and an adjustable column mounted at the frame. A boom apparatus supported by the adjustable column can support an x-ray source and can be coupled to a optional second display (also adjustably mounted). Embodiments of methods and/or apparatus by which mobile radiography carts can provide a single secure access apparatus and/or methods to control at least two of (i) a transport mechanism, (ii) x-ray generator control, (iii) remote detector control and image processing control, or (iv) secured storage for at least one radiographic detector by a single operator action.

A method for erasing noise and a residual image in a storage phosphor, comprising: reading out an exposed storage phosphor which is transported in a first direction by scanning the storage phosphor in a line scan direction perpendicular to the first direction, with a reciprocating stimulating beam of light which causes the storage phosphor to emit light in a first frequency range, the beam of light being suppressed during retrace; erasing the storage phosphor after the reading out with light of a second frequency range and additionally with light of the first frequency range during retrace when the stimulating light beam is supressed.

A high frequency video isolation circuit comprising: a modulating signal source for producing a modulating signal having a frequency of several hundred megahertz; an input multiplier for multiplying the modulating signal with an input video signal having frequency components in a frequency range from about several hertz to about one hundred or more megahertz, to produce a modulated video signal having frequency components in a frequency range from about one hundred megahertz to about several hundred megahertz; a first isolation transformer having an input and an output, for transforming the modulated video signal from the input to the output; and an output multiplier for multiplying the transformed modulated video signal with the modulating signal to produce an isolated output video signal having the frequency components of the input video signal.

A sync stripper circuit receives from a medical imaging modality a composite video signal with a horizontal sync frequency within one of first, second, third or fourth frequency ranges. The sync stripper circuit includes a circuit for stripping the composite sync signal from the received signal; horizontal sync detection circuit for detecting the horizontal sync signal from the stripped composite sync signal; a vertical sync detection circuit for detecting the vertical sync signal; an F1/F2 field detection circuit for detecting the F1/F2 field from the stripped composite sync signal; and a control circuit for controlling the horizontal sync detection circuit, the vertical sync detection circuit and the F1/F2 field detection circuit to operate in the selected one of said first, second, third or fourth frequency ranges of the received composite video signal. A serrating signal circuit inserts a horizontal signal into the vertical sync signal if serrating signals are absent therein.
