A safety syringeincludes a generally tubular bodyhaving a needle endand plunger end, needleand retractable needle seat, two-way valve, plunger, stopper, piston, and rear plunger seal. During use, the plunger may be moved to create a vacuum in the plunger. The user then moves the plunger toward the needle end, pressurizing a vial, then pulls backward to a selected position corresponding to the desired volume of fluid to be withdrawn. At the conclusion of the injection stroke, the piston is disengaged from the plunger. The vacuum within the plunger retracts the needle safely into the tubular body.

The present invention discloses a method, apparatus and system for electromechanical liquid dispensing. The system includes a bottle for holding liquid to be dispensed, the bottle having an inlet port and an outlet port, a one-way outlet valve on the outlet port through which liquid is dispensed from the bottle, and an electronic control system for controlling dispensement of the liquid from the outlet port such that a controlled quantity of liquid is dispensed.

The blood sampling assembly includes a retractable double-ended needle so that a vial may be passed through an opposed end of the needle to obtain a blood sample. The assembly includes a hollow cylinder including circumferentially spaced seat tabs which allow a needle seat and the needle supported thereon to be released upon rotation of tube with respect to hollow cylinder. The extractor assembly includes a stopper for maintaining a vacuum within tube to withdraw the needle to a retracted position within the tube upon rotation of the tube, the end cap, and the stopper retainer. A stopper tab positioner rotationally connects the stopper to the cylinder.

A hose sprayer assembly in accordance with the present invention includes a trigger body which is rotatably mounted within a housing. The housing is formed with an inlet orifice, an outlet aperture and an aspiration orifice, and further includes a deflector plate which is fixed to the outer surface of the housing proximate the outlet aperture. The trigger body includes a inlet port, an outlet port in fluid communication with the inlet port, and an aspiration port in fluid communication with the outlet port. Selective alignment of the trigger body places the inlet port and outlet port in fluid communication with the respective inlet orifice and outlet aperture of the housing. This yields a water only stream out the housing outlet aperture when water is forced through the assembly. Similarly, the body can be aligned to place the aspiration port in fluid communication with the aspiration orifice of the housing. When the assembly is coupled to a container filled with product concentrate, this alignment yield a water/product stream. Yet another alignment directs the water/product stream onto the deflector plate to yield a fan-like spray pattern.

A disposable syringe assembly including a cylinder body a needle assembly a piston assembly a rear seal assembly a hollow shaft and a valve assembly having a valve port and valve seals The needle assembly may be releasably engaged with the cylinder body. The body and the piston assembly moveable within the body may define each of a fluid chamber and an annular chamber As fluid is drawn into the fluid chamber by movement of the piston assembly, air may be displaced from the annular chamber through the valve assembly. As fluid is discharged from the fluid chamber, the valve assembly may be closed and a vacuum created in the annular chamber. A valve positioner may control connector connectivity and valve port position. Near the end of the fluid discharge piston stroke, a connector engaged with either the shaft of with the piston assembly may engage selectively engage a mating connector on the needle assembly. The needle assembly may be disengaged from the body. Thereafter, the axial fluid discharging, connecting and disengaging force may be removed and the needle assembly may automatically be retracted into the body to safely conceal the needle therein.
