A tension-free elastic tape is used for the surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence. The tape has a textile structure that allows ingrowth of the tape into the connective tissue. On its longitudinal edges, the tape has edge threads () that project from the textile structure of the tape and that especially facilitate a good primary anchoring of the tape in the tissue. The edge threads are firmly incorporated in the structure of the tape.

Tension-free elastic tape

The invention relates to a tension-free elastic tape that is used for the surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence. The inventive tape has a textile structure that allows ingrowth of the tape into the connective tissue. On its longitudinal edges, the tape has edge threads () that project from the textile structure of the tape and that especially facilitate a good primary anchoring of the tape in the tissue. The edge threads are firmly incorporated in the structure of the tape.

A disk consists of one or more plies or layers () which lie one on the other and which are connected to one another in their edge region () and consequently have a compression region () on their circumference (). Such a disk is provided for the application and/or absorption of liquid or semisolid substances. In this case, the compression region () is provided at a radial distance (B) from the circumference () of the disk. Consequently, the material fibers directed outward from the compression region () are so long that they are not rigid, but, instead, are slightly flexible.

A medical, bioresorbable implant, particularly for cruciate ligament augmentation, is constructed as a composite structure in textile construction from at least two biocompatible polymer materials, which differ in their chemical composition and/or polymer structure and which are degradable, the implant having a predetermined initial tensile stiffness and a different degradation behaviour of the polymers and/or the textile construction is selected in such a way that the tensile stiffness decreases during degradation.

A strand-like implant of resorbable polymer material is substantially formed as a random copolymer of L-lactide and glycolide, which are present in a composition in a range of more than 80 mole % lactide and less than 20 mole % glycolide to 95 mole % lactide and 5 mole % glycolide, particularly in a ratio of 90:10, and has in the textile structure a tensile strength of more than 200 N/mm .

The invention relates to a biohybrid articular surface replacement in the form of a three-dimensional, porous carrier, in which cartilage cells can be cultured in vitro and/or in vivo to a three-dimensional cell union and which following cell growth and optionally after tissue development, can be placed on the exposed bone in the vicinity of a defective articular surface, wherein on the side of the carrier intended for engagement with the bone it has an agent for aiding osseous integration.
