A display indicates speed in GREEN when the approaching vehicle is traveling below or equal to the user set compliance speed. The primary display flashes RED when the approaching vehicle is exceeding the preset compliance speed. A rear mounted control panel and LCD display is provided for easy entry of compliance speed, operational settings and data recovery. The rear control panel is used for the following: set compliance speed; set max speed cutoff; retrieve traffic count; retrieve average speed; retrieve number of violations; retrieve maximum speed recorded; display battery status. Automatic dimming of the primary display is provided during night use.

Compact radar vehicle speed monitor

Improved stretchable battings of differentially-shrinkable bicomponent staple fibers are obtained by cross-lapping webs, e.g. from cards, garnets or the like machines, at an angle that determines and controls the degrees of stretch in the machine direction (MD) and cross direction (XD), and then inducing helical crimp in the bicomponent fibers on account of their differential shrinkage. Such batts are especially useful in apparel.

Making new stretchable batts

An improved bonded polyester fiberfill batt, characterized by a lower inclination to leak fibers through a shell fabric, made by using a blend of binder fiber with binder-compatible fiberfill of low denier for the outer covering of the batt, and spraying thereon a resin-bonding agent, and effecting bonding of both binder fiber and bonding agent to form a sealed outer surface.
