A flare-type brake line assembly includes (a) a brake tube having a flare with a first sealing surface, (b) a brake component having a port with a second sealing surface and (c) a tube nut to secure the brake tube and brake component together. At least one of the two sealing surfaces is treated to increase the coefficient of friction between those surfaces. A related method is also disclosed.

Flare-type brake line assembly and method of making the same

Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate brake bleeding. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a bleed controller to actuate a first valve connected to a pump and an end of a brake line, the pump connected to a reservoir; to actuate a second valve connected to the pump and a master cylinder, the master cylinder connected to the reservoir; and to operate the pump to bleed the brake line when the first valve is actuated and to bleed the master cylinder when the second valve is actuated.

Methods and apparatus to facilitate brake bleeding

A brake pad configured for use in a vehicle brake assembly comprises: a friction material having an outermost edge, an innermost edge, and first and second side edges extending therebetween; and a stepped portion extending along the innermost edge of friction material from the first side edge of the friction material to the second side edge of the friction material.
