A combination of an optical module and a transmitting and carrying structure includes an optical module, at least one carrying seat, and two rollers. The at least one carrying seat is combined with the optical module, for mounting the two rollers. The two rollers are located at the two opposite sides of the optical module. The two opposite sides of the optical module are perpendicular to the movement direction of the optical module. Thus, the at least one carrying seat and the two rollers are used to support and transmit the optical module, so that the optical module may be well balanced. In addition, the assembly height and the cost of fabrication are reduced.

Combination of an optical module and a transmitting and carrying structure

A scanning module having an adjustable height includes a CIS module having two ends along a longitudinal direction each provided with a distance adjusting member. Thus, when the CIS module is scanning the reflective document and the transparency, the distance adjusting member may be adjusted to change the distance between the CIS module and the glass window for the to-be-scanned document to be placed on. Thus, under scanning of the CIS module, both of the reflective document and the transparency may obtain a clear image effect.

Scanning module having an adjustable height

A vibration reduction gear structure of an image input and output device includes a first gear supporting a second gear, and a vibration reduction portion made of vibration reduction material mounted on at least one of the first gear and the second gear. The other gear is rested on the vibration reduction portion. In such a manner, when the first gear and the second gear are rotated synchronously, the vibration between the first gear and the second gear may be reduced by the vibration reduction portion.

Vibration reduction gear structure of an image input and output device

A modular scanner has a housing with a transparent platform upon which a document may be placed. A first control board for controlling operations of the scanner is disposed within the housing. A scanning module is also installed inside the housing and is electrically connected to the first control board. The scanning module is used to scan a document placed on the transparent platform to generate corresponding image data. A first input device is disposed on the housing to provide an input interface. The first control board is removably installed inside the housing, and the first input device is removably connected to the housing. The first control board and the first input device are capable of being replaced, respectively, with a second control board and a second input device.

Modular scanner

A transparency scanning mechanism of a CIS scanner for scanning a transparency includes a plane light source mounted on the upper cover of the scanner, for projecting the transparency. A guide device is mounted on the upper cover and located adjacent to the plane light source for guiding the transparency to face the plane light source. Thus, the CIS scanner may be used to scan the transparency. The scanning mechanism and the upper cover may be made integrally, thereby decreasing cost of fabrication. In addition, the upper cover may be provided with a driving device and/or a retaining device adjacent to the guide device, to mate with movement of the transparency, so that the transparency may be moved conveniently, thereby preventing the transparency from being tilted and deviated.
