A track maintenance machine for stabilizing a ballast bed of a track after a tamping operation, includes a machine frame mobile on on-track undercarriages and a stabilizing unit which has rollers for gripping a track grid and a vibration generator for actuating the track grid with a vibration. A clearing device is disposed at both longitudinal sides of the track maintenance machine in front of the stabilizing unit with regard to a working direction. Each respective clearing device includes a clearing tool which can be lowered into the ballast bed to remove ballast from a respective sleeper-end region. Thus, preconditions are created by using the stabilizing unit to achieve an increased lowering of the track grid as compared to a normal stabilizing procedure. A method for operating a track maintenance machine is also provided.

Track maintenance machine and method for stabilizing a ballast bed

The invention relates to a tamping tine for a tamping machine for tamping a track, including a tine shaft which has at its upper end a retaining portion for fastening in a tine mount and which merges at its lower end into a tine plate. In this, a sensitive element of a sensor is arranged in a recess of the tine shaft, and the tamping tine includes a coupling element for transmission of a sensor signal. In this manner, the tamping tine fulfils a sensor function for recording measuring values occurring in the tamping tine.

Tamping tine and method for tamping a track

A method for tamping a track in the region of a switch uses a tamping machine mobile on a track. In a first working pass a first branch is brought into desired position and tamped, thereafter the tamping machine travels backward to a point before a branching point, and in a second working pass a second branch is brought into desired position and tamped. During the backward travel, an actual position of the second branch is recorded by a sensor arrangement, particularly relative to the position of the first branch, and correction values for the position of the second branch are calculated based on the recorded actual position. Therefore, the backward travel, which is necessary anyway, is used to determine the position of the second branch, which position changes in the course of the first working pass. A tamping machine for carrying out the method is also provided.

Method of tamping a track in the area for a switch

The invention relates to a method for determining an actual position of rails of a track by means of an optical sensor device, positioned on a rail vehicle, for recording the position of the track and adjacent installations. In this, it is provided that, by means of the sensor device, a course of the track and a course of the adjacent installations, in particular a catenary installation, are recorded for a track section as preliminary actual data, and that the preliminary actual data are transformed into corrected actual data in an evaluation device in that a recorded course of at least one adjacent installation is transformed into a course with a specified geometric shape. In addition, the invention relates to a system for implementing the method.

Method for determining an actual position of rails of a track

A system for surveying a track includes two outer measuring devices and a central measuring device disposed therebetween, relative to the longitudinal direction of the track. Each measuring device has a specific position relative to the track in order to detect geometric track parameters. One outer measuring device includes a camera with a recording area in which a measuring object of the other outer measuring device and a measuring object of the central measuring device are disposed. The camera is connected to an evaluation device for pattern recognition. All of the position parameters of the track required for precise lining and levelling of the track are thus recorded by a single camera. A method of operating the system is also provided.

System and method of surveying a track

The invention relates to a method of controlling a track maintenance machine, particularly a switch tamping- or universal tamping machine, which moves along a track and has working units, particularly a tamping unit and a lifting unit, which are adjustable relative to a machine frame, wherein position data of track objects, particularly sleepers, rails and optionally obstacles, are recorded by means of a sensor device in front of the working units in a working direction, and wherein operating positions of the working units are determined for a working operation at a track location. In this, prior to actuation of the working units, the determined operating positions of the working units are displayed by means of a display device, wherein, prior to carrying out the working operation, the operating positions of the working units can be changed by means of control elements. As a result of the display of the determined operating positions prior to the working operation, an operator is enabled to recognize possible misalignments before these become effective.

Method for controlling a track construction machine

The invention relates to a method for contactless recording of a track geometry of a track by means of a rail vehicle which is moved along the track on on-track undercarriages (), wherein profile data of the track extending in transverse direction are compiled by means of a laser scanner. In this, it is provided that, by means of an evaluation device, profile data are evaluated relative to a reference base pre-defined on the rail vehicle in order to derive from this the course of a track central axis and/or a rail. The invention additionally relates to a rail vehicle which comprise an evaluation device configured for carrying out the method. Thus, no further measuring system is required to determine a track position.

Method for contactlessly capturing a track geometry

A method for maintenance of a permanent way, roadway or travel path for rail vehicles includes determining the actual condition of the permanent way by using a measuring system to record measurement data. Objects along the permanent way are detected from the measurement data by using an evaluation device. A detected object is assigned to an object class, and at least one object class identification linked with positional data is stored in a database for a detected object. The actual condition of the permanent way is thus stored in an object-based manner, and a comparison with a target condition or with historic actual conditions is used for the planning and execution of maintenance measures. A maintenance system for executing the method is also provided.

Method and system for maintenance of a permanent way for rail vehicles

The invention relates to a machine () having a machine frame (), mobile by means of on-track undercarriages () on rails () of a track grid (), and a stabilizing unit () which comprises a vibration exciter () for generating horizontal vibrations extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine and flanged rollers () designed to roll on the rails (). In this, a camera () is mounted on the machine frame () for recording a section of the track grid () set in vibrations, wherein the camera () is connected to an evaluation device () in order to derive from the recorded image data a resulting deflection (s) of the track grid (). In this manner, the amplitude (a) of the sleeper deflection can be recorded, which is a measure of the actually effective vibration for stabilizing the track.

Machine with stabilization assembly, and measurement method

A method of determining the actual position of a track relative to a fixed point located in a lateral vicinity of the track by using a registering device being mobile on the track includes surveying the position of the fixed point relative to the track. The registering device is moved along the track, image pairs of the lateral vicinity of the track are continuously recorded by a stereo camera system on the registering device and the fixed point is searched for in the image pairs by pattern recognition carried out in an evaluation device. Upon recognition of the fixed point, the position of the fixed point relative to the track is determined by evaluating at least one image pair. This creates the possibility of surveying fixed points in passing with the configuration of the fixed point not being bound to any special form. A measuring system is also provided.
