A workpiece support includes a workpiece support element and a suction device. A workpiece is mounted on a workpiece side of the workpiece support element during machining. Towards a remote lower side, the workpiece support element is permeable to a waste air flow loaded with machining-related emissions. The suction device includes a vacuum generator and a suction line. The vacuum generator is configured to generate the waste air flow flowing from the workpiece side to the lower side, to suck off the waste air flow into the suction line in a flow direction and to subsequently discharge the waste air flow via the suction line. The suction line has a suction opening having a flow cross section which can be passed by the waste air flow in the flow direction. An opening width of the flow cross section and/or a position of the suction opening can be variably adjusted.

Supporting machining workpieces

An energy guiding chain has a plurality of articulately interconnected chain links comprising two outermost links and a plurality of inner links, and a bendable cover strip covering at least one of two sides of the articulately interconnected chain links, wherein the cover strip is held by at least some of the inner chain links, and guided displaceably with respect to at least the inner chain links in a chain longitudinal direction, and wherein the cover strip projects in a chain transverse direction at least on one side over the chain links. Energy guiding chains for processing machines

An apparatus for holding a plate-like material during a separation process. The apparatus includes a separating device that is movable, during the separation process, in a first axial direction that is transverse to a second axial direction that the plate-like material is conveyed in during the separation process. The apparatus also includes first and second transport tables. The first transport table has a first contact surface and the second transport table has a second contact surface. The first contact surface and the second contact surface are spaced apart by a gap along which the separating device is movable. The apparatus also includes at least one holding device that is operable hold the plate-like material relative to the first and second contact surfaces such that the plate-like material is movable along the first and second contact surfaces. The holding device is configured to support the plate-like material such that a first surface of the plate-like material, on which a cutting beam of the separating device impinges, faces toward the first and second contact surfaces during the separation process.

Apparatus for holding a plate-like material during a separation process

A beam capturing device for a processing machine includes a housing and at least one rotating body. The housing includes a substantially linear opening for receiving a cutting beam from the processing machine during processing of a workpiece. The at least one rotating body is arranged beneath the opening in the housing. The at least one rotating body is arranged to be rotationally driven about its axis of rotation and is arranged to absorb energy from the cutting beam entering the housing through the opening.

Beam capturing devices for processing machines

The invention relates to a device for supporting sheet-like materials for at least one separating process in the sheet-like materials, with at least one jet cutter device which may be displaced in the Y-direction during a separation process, with a first and second support surface together forming a support table for supporting the sheet-like material and with a jet trapping device, arranged between the first and second support surfaces and provided to be able to be displaced in the X-direction. The first and the second support surfaces are made from a flexible material forming part of at least one enclosed chamber, filled with a gas under pressure.

Device for supporting plate-like materials for at least one separating process

A beam-catching device is provided for a cutting-beam processing machine configured to deliver a cutting beam to a workpiece. The beam-catching device includes a housing which has a line-like opening pointing toward the cutting beam, the cutting beam discharging from the underside of the workpiece during processing of the workpiece and entering the housing through the opening, and a solid medium disposed within the housing and configured to move relative to the opening of the housing in a direction crossing the cutting beam in order to absorb energy.
