An exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a compressor (), which has a compressor housing (); a turbine (), which has a turbine housing (): and a bearing housing (), which is arranged between the compressor housing () and the turbine housing () and is connected to the compressor housing () by way of a compressor-side connecting device and to the turbine housing () by way of a turbine-side connecting device (). Exhaust-gas turbocharger

In the generic exhaust-gas turbocharger, the turbine-side and compressor-side radial bearing bush are of identical design. A more compact bearing space, and improvements in acoustics and rotor dynamics, are achieved by providing different bearings on the turbine and compressor sides.

The invention relates to a shaft assembly (A) of an exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a shaft (), having a turbine wheel () which can be connected to one end of the shaft () to form a rotor, having a compressor wheel () which can be connected to the other end of the shaft (), having a sealing sleeve () which can be located on the shaft () on that side of the compressor wheel () which faces toward the turbine wheel (), having a shaft nut () which can be screwed by means of an internal thread () onto a free end region () of the shaft () to fix the compressor wheel (), wherein the shaft nut (), in a portion () adjacent to the compressor wheel (), has a turned recess () which adjoins the internal thread () and which has an inner diameter (D) greater than the internal thread diameter (D).

An exhaust-gas turbocharger (), having a shaft () on which a compressor wheel () and a turbine wheel () are arranged, and a bearing housing () which has a turbine-side radial bearing bush () and which has an oil collecting chamber () arranged between the turbine-side radial bearing bush () and a turbine-side bearing housing end region (). The shaft () has a shoulder () which extends outward in the radial direction (R) into the oil collecting chamber () and, together with a radial-bearing-side first delimiting wall () of the oil collecting chamber (), delimits a gap ().
