The invention relates to a device for supporting and oscillating a continuous casting mold () for continuously casting molten metals, particularly molten metal materials, comprising: guide elements () symmetrically arranged on both sides of the central longitudinal axis () of the casting; fixed supporting parts (), and; a continuous casting mold () supported on paired oscillating devices (). The inventive device facilitates the accessibility to individual modules for maintaining and/or eliminating damages. To this end, a module () that, itself, can be removed, is formed from paired bearing blocks () with guide elements () and with a supporting casing () connected to said bearing blocks. The module is placed upon a stationary submodule () and detachably connected thereto.

A device for the continuous casting of metals, especially steel material, to elongated products in a multistrand casting apparatus with a plurality of continuous casting molds which are oscillatingly driven in an oscillating frame () by means of leaf springs () whereby the leaf springs () extend transversely to the casting direction () and serve for guide and weight compensation. The smallest possible strand spacing 'A' is provided for that on a longitudinal foundation frame () to housings () in the form of compact flat cassettes () are secured one behind the other in the strand travel direction. In the housings upper and lower leaf spring pairs () run transversely to the cast strands () and the oscillating strands () engage the leaf spring pairs (), whereby a front oscillating drive () works synchronously with the rear oscillating drive ().

Device for the continuous casting of metals, in particular steel material, to form elongated products in a multiple casting line

A strand guiding segment for slab casting plants with a guiding width for the cast strand is adjustable between guide rollers of a frame on a fixed side and a frame on a detachable side, wherein the frames interact with adjusting units for overcoming the ferrostatic pressure and for adjusting the desired sectional width of the strand. The adjusting units are four independently adjustable pressure cylinders arranged outside of the radiation range at the upper side of the segment, wherein the distance between the segment middle and cylinder which determines the segment width is reduced on both sides by the dimension of the cylinder which has been moved to the upper side of the segment. The segment crossbeams are provided with radiation protection plates instead of water cooling means and cooled side frames are laterally flanged to the bottom frames.
