The invention relates to a respiratory mask of modular construction. The main components are reduced to four parts and are provided by the mask body, the forehead support, the mask bead and the attachment piece. The design, according to the invention, of the outflow structure between mask body and forehead support makes apertures in the mask body unnecessary for this purpose. The strap coupling in the region of the mask body is made easier by a funnel-shaped guide structure such that it is possible in a simple manner even without seeing it.

Disclosed is a supporting device for a patient interface on the forehead of the patient. The supporting device has an adjustment by means of a self-acting, incorporated spring element and, depending on the tightening force of the harness, the forehead pad presses onto the forehead of the user as a result of the spring force and thus provides the patient interface at a spacing which is suitable for the patient and provides optimum, fault-free adaptation.

The invention concerns a gel covering of a patient interface. This gel covering has a mask connection area by which its side that faces away from the patient is joined with a mask body. The invention relates to a headband means () used for applying a breathing mask () in a user's facial area. Said headband means () comprises a flexible band body that is provided with upper and lower band portions () and is used for transmitting the mask holding forces required for applying the breathing mask. At least some portions of the band body are made of a foamed plastic material.
