A headset () comprising a housing () and a microphone arm (). The microphone arm () is connected to a hinge member (), which is pivotally connected to the housing () such that the microphone arm () can be rotated about a first pivot axis (P; PP) between a first position, in which it lies along a first surface () of the housing () and a second, extended position in which it extends away from the housing (). The microphone arm () is movably connected to the hinge member () so that the microphone arm () can be moved into a third position, in which it lies along a second surface () of the housing ().

Headset with foldable microphone arm

A headset () comprising a housing () and a microphone arm (). The microphone arm () is connected to a hinge member (), which is pivotally connected to the housing () such that the microphone arm () can be rotated about a first pivot axis (P; P; P) between a first position, in which it lies along a first surface () of the housing () and a second, extended position in which it extends away from the housing (). The headset is further provided with a switch (), which is operably connected to the microphone arm (;) or the hinge member (), such that a rotation of the microphone arm () from the first position to the second position or vice versa activates the switch () and changes headset mode. The microphone arm () is movably connected to the hinge member () so that the microphone arm () can be moved into a third position, in which it lies along a second surface () of the housing ().

A headset () e.g. for use in connection with wireless communication. The housing may be constructed as two shells () which may be opened and closed so that all mechanical parts may be concealed on the housing when the headset () is not in use. The shells () may be interconnected by means of a hinge () which has an axis disposed in the same plane as the surface of the shells. Alternatively, the shells may be arranged such that the axis is disposed in a perpendicular plane. The headset () has all mechanical and electrical parts are well protected when the headset is not used.

Headset

A headset with a headband is equipped with at least one cup in which a male or female plug is arranged. The cup is intended for the mounting of a speaker or a speaker with microphone arm, said speaker or speaker with microphone arm being also provided with a male or female plug adapted to be connected to the male or female plug in the cup. The headband of the headset is hollow so that the wire may be run from one side of the headset to the other side. Hereby, the speaker and/or speaker with microphone arm of the headset may easily be replaced, without having to scrap the entire headset. Thus, it is possible to upgrade the headset currently for technical as well as aesthetic reasons. In an embodiment, the headset is provided with a cup at one side and at the other side with a T-member which constitutes a support part against a user's head.

A headset () e.g. for use in connection with wireless communication by means of Bluetooth technology in connection with mobile telephones, PSTN telephones and the like, which comprises a housing () with a transducer () in the form of a speaker, as well as a microphone () and an ear hook (). In a first embodiment, the housing may be constructed as two shells () which may be opened and closed so that all mechanical parts may be concealed on the housing when the headset () is not in use, thereby ensuring that the various parts are not damaged when the headset is stored in a pocket. The shells () may be interconnected by means of a hinge () which has an axis disposed in the same plane as the surface of the shells. Alternatively, the shells may be arranged such that the axis is disposed in a perpendicular plane relative to the surface of the shells. In a second embodiment, the housing () is formed by a closed housing from which the ear hook () and/or the microphone) may be moved in or out. The invention provides a headset () which is extremely easy to use, and where all mechanical and electrical parts are well protected when the headset is not used. Furthermore, all embodiments may be provided with a lock which may be mechanical and/or electrical, which ensures that only the right user can use the headset.
