The present invention relates to a crane with a height-adjustably mounted control or personnel stand that can be lifted and lowered by at least two lifting elements, wherein the two lifting elements are articulated to a balancing rocker that is mounted on a rocker bearing head connected to the control or personnel stand so as to be luffable about a horizontal pivot axis, wherein a monitoring and/or safety device is provided to monitor and/or ensure the safety of the control stand. According to the invention, the pivot axis is configured as a measurement axis for detecting the load state of the luffable bearing of the balancing rocker and for providing a load signal to the monitoring and/or safety device.

The present disclosure concerns a crane, in particular a tower crane, with a jib from which a load hook can be raised and lowered via a hoisting cable, and with an electric power supply to the load hook and/or to a trolley that may be movable along the crane jib. According to the disclosure, the electric power supply to the load hook and/or to the trolley is at least partly conducted by a running cable which transmits tractive forces for the crane operation.

The invention relates to a method of operating a crane having a luffable crane boom and having a trolley travelable at the crane boom, wherein the crane can be operated in a luffing mode, on the one hand, and in a trolley mode, on the other hand. In accordance with the invention, a switch is made between a luffing mode and a trolley mode by varying the hoist rope reeving. The invention further relates to such a crane for carrying out the method.
