Compounds of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each independently represents a halogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, alkenoxy, cyano or nitro group; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R.sub.5 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl, alkoxy or alkoxycarbonylalkyl group; X and Y each independently represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group N--R, in which R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; n is 0-3; r is 0 or 1; m is 0-4; and A or B represents a group of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, or an alkyl group; and R.sub.7 represents a halogen atom or an alkyl group; the other of A and B being a hydrogen atom or as for R.sub.1 or R.sub.2, have useful pesticidal activity.

Compounds of the general formula: ##STR1## ps wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each independently represents a halogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, alkenoxy, cyano or nitro group; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R.sub.5 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl, alkoxy or alkoxycarbonylalkyl group; X and Y each independently represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group N-R, in which R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; n is 0-3; r is 0 or 1; m is 0-4; and A or B represents a group of the general formula: wherein R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, or an alkyl group; and R represents a halogen atom or an alkyl group; the other of A and B being a hydrogen atom or as for R.sub.1 or R.sub.2, have useful pesticidal activity.

Pesticidal heterocyclic compounds

Compounds of the general formula ##STR1## in which each of A and B independently represents a halogen atom or an alkyl group; m is 0 or 1; R represents a hydrogen atom or a group --S.CO.sub.2 R.sup.1, --S.SO.sub.2 R.sup.1 or --S.NR.sup.2 R.sup.3, in which R.sup.1 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group; R.sup.2 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group; and R.sup.3 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group, or a group of formula --CO.sub.2 R.sup.4, --SO.sub.2 R.sup.4, --COR.sup.4, --CO.CO.sub.2 R.sup.4, --CO.NR.sup.5 R.sup.6 or --SO.sub.2 NR.sup.5 R.sup.6, in which R.sup.4 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group, and each of R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group; or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 together represent an optionally substituted alkylene group; in each case, the optional substituents for an alkyl or alkylene group being selected from halogen, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, haloalkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, haloalkylcarbonyl, alkylsulphonyl and haloalkylsulphonyl, and the optional substituents for an aryl group being selected from these substituents and also alkyl, haloalkyl, cyano and nitro; X represents a halogen atom or a cyano, nitro, alkyl or haloalkyl group; each of Y and Z independently represents a halogen atom or a cyano, nitro or haloalkyl group; n is 0, 1, 2 or 3; and p is 0, 1 or 2; have useful pesticidal activity.

Pesticidal benzoylurea compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents a moiety --C(O)OR.sup.1 or --NR.sup.2 R.sup.3, and the meanings of each of the other symbols is described in the specification.

A benzoylurea compound of formula: ##STR1## in which each of P and Q independently represents a halogen atom or an alkyl group; m represents 0, 1 or 2; R represents an optionally-substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl group, a hydrogen atom, one equivalent of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal, or an ammonium or substituted ammonium group; each X independently represents a halogen atom, a cyano, nitro or carboxy group, or an optionally-substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, cycloalkyl, cycloalkyloxy, cycloalkylthio, alkenyl, alkenylthio, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylsulphonyl, alkynyl, phenyl, phenoxy, phenylthio or amino group; q=0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; T represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkenyloxy or haloalkenyloxy group, or a phenoxy or pyridyloxy group optionally substituted by one or more substituents selected from halogen atoms and nitro, alkyl, haloalkyl and cyano groups; each Y independently represents a halogen atom or a nitro, cyano, alkyl or haloalkyl group; and p=0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. The compounds have pesticidal activity, and may be prepared from novel sulphenamide starting materials.

Insecticidally active benzoylphenylurea derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is haloalkyl, or phenyl optionally substituted by certain substituents and the other symbols have assigned meanings.

Insecticidal N-benzoyl-N'-phenyl-N'-(R-thio)ureas

Certain dihydrothiazine derivatives, useful as anthelmintics and insecticides.

Diphydrothiazine derivatives

Insecticidal 2-(1-(halobenzoyl-1-hydroxyiminomethyl)-5,6-dihydro-4H-1,3-thiazines.

Insecticidal

Oxazoline derivatives of the formula ##EQU1## wherein R.sub.1 is optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, aralkenyl, alkaryl, or heterocyclic, R.sub.2 is alkyl and R.sub.3 is optionally substituted aralkyl, are useful as herbicides.
