A battery and battery condition indicator are provided with a seal as monolithic structures whereby the indicator is inserted in an opening in the battery and sealed there against via ribs in the battery confronted by a surface of the indicator and/or ribs on the indicator embedded in a surface of the battery defining the opening.

A push latch that may be used in automobile applications to open and close compartment doors or bins reduces the number of components typically found in prior art designs while retaining the same quality and function. The push latch of the invention further eliminates the use of metal pins and springs, provides an assembly that is easier to assemble and reduces the cost to manufacture. In one embodiment, the push latch generally includes the use of a housing, lock and button. The lock includes the use of a flexible spring arm and bosses, which will engage with cam slots in the button. In operation, when the button is pushed, the cam slots will force the bosses and the lock downward causing the release of the compartment door. When the button is released, the flexible spring arm forces the cylindrical bosses upward in the cam slots thus forcing the button and lock back to their original positions.

Push latch

A rotational latching device for use with a damper device comprising a cylinder and a piston so as to hold the piston in the closed position includes a rotating latching member and a heart-shaped cam part. The cam part includes a V-shaped portion. The latch member includes a latch guide pin which is retained in a V-shaped portion of the cam part in the closed position and is unlatched therefrom when the front end of the piston is moved slightly into the cylinder. The rotating latch member comprises a one-piece construction, can be easily formed by injection molding, and is readily assembled.

Damper rotational latch

A damper assembly includes anti-rattle tracking devices or components for preventing rattling and play when a sliding tray is moved into and out from a stationary housing by a damper device. The damper device further includes a fail-safe locking device so as to maintain the assembly of the locking device for the sliding tray regardless of either a pushing or pulling motion.
