The invention relates to a catapult drive for an object to be accelerated, preferably the car of a fairground ride, wherein the object is accelerated by means of a driving element. The movement of the driving element is produced by a flexible drive and a hydraulic cylinder via which all movements of the driving element can be controlled. The invention also relates to a control system for suitably controlling the inventive catapult drive.

There is disclosed a support means, especially for mounting or dismounting an offshore platform, comprising an articulated bracket which is movable horizontally swinging its two articulated arms. In the case of a rather rough sea a compensating movement in the horizontal direction can be effected by appropriately controlling the articulated arms, wherein the reaction forces acting in the horizontal direction are minimal.

A simply-designed, multi-purpose transport module with which heavy loads can be moved over the ground has the following features: a frame, on which the load is laid, is positioned on the floor. A support is positioned on the floor. The ground loading pressure of the frame, on an increase of the ground pressure loading of the support, and the ground pressure loading of the support, on an increase of the ground pressure loading of the frame, can be reduced to below the unloaded weight through an actuator of the frame or of the support. The frame and the support have a first pair of inclined paths through which the frame can be supported on the support and the frame is displaceable horizontally with respect to the support on achieving a sufficient reduction of its ground pressure loading. The frame and the support have a second pair of inclined paths through which the support can be supported on the frame and the support is displaceable horizontally with respect to the frame on achieving a sufficient reduction of its ground pressure loading. A load can be moved forward in a step-wise manner with such a transport module.

A cutter wheel for a dredging apparatus mounted for rotation about a shaft and having outwardly projecting cutting blades mounted on openings formed in the cylindrical peripheral plane of said wheel, while a stationary suction mouth is provided inside said wheel which is adapted for being in fluid communication with the cutting blades on rotation of said wheel, said suction mouth being connected to said shaft so that it may be rotated by means of a piston-cylinder assembly to change its angular position.
