Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for buffer state report. A method performed at a terminal device may comprise: predicting a buffer size associated with data to be transmitted; and transmitting a buffer state report, BSR, including the predicted buffer size to a network node. A method performed at a network node may comprise: receiving a buffer state report, BSR, including a predicted buffer size associated with data to be received from a terminal device; and transmitting a grant for the data according to the received BSR. The latency of data transmission from the terminal device to the network node may be reduced.

Method and apparatus for buffer state report

Methods and devices for supporting charging relating to a group transmission in a wireless communication network. The group transmission involving a group of wireless devices configured to, via one or more direct communication links between each other, participate in transmission of user data between a source wireless device and the network. It is obtained, for each one of wireless devices of the group, a data amount indicator indicating how much data the wireless device has been involved in transmitting as part of the group transmission. It is provided one or more reports based on the obtained data amount indicators to one or more core network nodes.

The present disclosure relates to telecommunications. In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method in a coordinator User Equipment (UE) for registering a group of UEs to a wireless communications system. The coordinator UE represents the group of UEs. The method comprises transmitting, to a Radio Access Network (RAN) node, a message comprising a group IDentity (ID) to initiate an authentication and security procedure to register the group of UEs to the wireless communications system. The group ID identifies the group of UEs.

Apparatuses and methods for registering a group of user equipment

In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method in a source User Equipment (UE) for group transmissions in a wireless communications system comprising a group of UEs, including the source UE. The group is assigned a first group IDentity (ID). The source UE has data to be cooperatively transmitted by the group of UEs in a group transmission to a Radio Access Network (RAN) node. Methods and apparatus are provided for selecting a next hop for a data packet. In one aspect, a method in a first node of selecting a next hop for a data packet includes determining a volume that is at least partially located between a first communication device and a destination node of the data packet, determining at least one moveable communication device located within the volume, and selecting one of the at least one moveable communication device as a next hop for the data packet after the first communication device.

The present disclosure relates to radio network communication. In one of its aspects, the disclosure presented herein concerns a method performed by a first UE for transmitting group Buffer Status Reports (BSRs) for group transmissions to a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system comprises the BS and a plurality of UEs, including the first UE. The plurality of UEs are assigned to a group, wherein at least one of the UEs within the assigned group has data for group transmission to the BS. The method comprises transmitting, to the BS, a group BSR. Apparatuses and methods for using group buffer status reports

A method for enabling group transmission among devices capable of Device to Device, D2D, communication in network having a base station. The devices have a group coordinator may directly communicate with one another over a D2D link. The group coordinator device is arranged to communicate with the base station over a cellular link. The group coordinator device sends a Scheduling Request, SR, message requesting grants for both D2D and cellular transmission. In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method in a BS for time domain resource scheduling for group transmissions in a wireless communication system, which comprises the BS and a plurality of UEs, including a first UE. The plurality of UEs are assigned to a group. At least two of these UEs have data for group transmission to the BS. An aggregated BSR comprising BSRs from the at least two UEs is received from the first UE.
