Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed herein to identify and deploy policy changes from a policy source in a wireless communication network to enforcement points in the network based on trends identified by the policy source in KPIs reported by the enforcement points. In an implementation, enforcement points in the network report KPIs to the policy source. The KPIs are related to authorization attempts made by user equipment in the network. The policy source, upon receiving the KPIs, identifies a trend in the KPIs and identifies a policy change based on the KPIs. The policy source then deploys the policy change to the enforcement points. In various implementations, the policy source is a Policy Decision Point (PDP), and the enforcement points are Policy Enforcement Points (PEPs).

Quality of trust framework for wireless communication networks

In a wireless communication system, wireless communication devices filter smart contract data. The wireless communication devices generate source smart contract outputs. The wireless communication devices select some of the source smart contract outputs. The wireless communication devices select at least one target smart contract. The wireless communication devices transfer the selected source contract outputs to the ones of the selected target smart contracts. The selections that comprise this filtering may be based on device location, device identifier, digital certificates, device application identifiers, device component identifiers, alarms, messages, time, day, date, and/or some other factors.

A wireless communication network serves a Network Exposure Function (NEF) slice to User Equipment (UE). An Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) selects a NEF slice for the UE. A Session Management Function (SMF) selects a NEF address for the NEF slice for the UE. A User Plane Function (UPF) exchanges Application Programming Interface (API) calls and responses between the UE and a NEF based on the NEF address. The NEF exchanges the API messages with the UE over the UPF. The NEF slice may comprise an edge NEF slice that is selected based on the geographic location of the UE and that features a local NEF element that is coupled to a core NEF element.

Network exposure function (NEF) slice in a wireless communication network

A method for implementing a slice security zone (SSZ) in a 5G network. The method comprises storing by an SSZ function executing on a first network server an SSZ security profile of the SSZ in a secure storage function, receiving by the SSZ function from a slice management function a slice registration request comprising information relating to a slice security profile of a slice managed by the slice management function, if the slice security profile complies with the SSZ security profile, storing by the SSZ function a slice registration association between the slice and the SSZ in the secure storage function, and sending by the SSZ function to the slice management function a slice registration response comprising information relating to whether the slice was registered in the SSZ.

5G hyperledger slice security framework

Systems and methods are provided for duplicate message detection and removal. A method includes receiving a message tagged with a sequence number during one of a first timing window and a second timing window, wherein the first and second timing windows are consecutive recurring timing windows in a network. The method additionally includes sending a response to the message during one of the timing windows and marking the sequence number with the timing window of the response. The method further includes adding the marked sequence number to an exclusion list and after a next timing window expires, deleting the sequence number from the exclusion list.

Systems, methods and devices are provided for facilitating integration of haptic notifications with existing applications, particularly mobile applications. A method includes accessing, by a wireless device storing an application, a haptic notification library including haptic notifications and further accessing code correlating the haptic notifications from the haptic notification library with standard notifications within the application. The method further includes providing the correlated haptic notifications during execution of the application by the wireless device.

A wireless communication device serves a user application from a protected memory region. Processing circuitry receives a memory call from the user application for the protected memory region. In response, the processing circuitry generates network signaling that characterizes the memory call and authorization factors for the memory call. The processing circuitry directs the memory circuitry to perform the memory call in the protected memory region for the user application per the memory instruction. Systems and methods are provided for rapid user equipment route selection policy rule processing. A method includes determining an applicable routing policy based on user equipment route selection policy (URSP) rules for an established protocol data unit (PDU) session and storing PDU session information with the established uplink PDU session in a cache. The method further includes examining subsequent uplink packets for PDU session information and checking the cache for an established PDU session with matching uplink PDU session information. The method additionally includes routing the subsequent uplink packets to the established PDU session having the matching PDU session information, causing the subsequent uplink packet to be processed in accordance with the applicable routing policy as previously determined based on the URSP rules.

Rapid user equipment route selection policy rule processing

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a quantum computing based network time validation function that can evaluate a large set of network time reference signals (e.g., a set of timestamps) and rapidly identify aberrations that can negatively affect network operation. In some embodiments, a method comprises: receiving a set of task data comprising a set of network time reference signals; searching the set of task data using a quantum search algorithm executed on a quantum computing platform, wherein the quantum search algorithm performs operations on more quantum states generated by the quantum computing platform based on a search task function defined by a quantum oracle, wherein the search task function comprises a time prediction task function; and generating an output comprising an indication of validation of the set of network time reference signals based on the searching.

A data communication system serves a user application in a User Equipment (UE). The data communication system receives a subscription from an application server into a Network Exposure Function (NEF). The subscription is for user data from the user application in the UE. The data communication system receives the user data from the user application in the UE over a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and transfers the user data to the NEF. The data communication system transfers the user data from the NEF for delivery to the application server in response to the subscription.

A method of instantiating a virtual network function (VNF) in a core network of a communication service provider. The method comprises receiving a request to execute a VNF by a VNF manager application executing on a computer system, where the request comprises a file name of a file in an interplanetary file system (IPFS) to be used to launch the VNF, parsing the file name by the VNF manager application to identify a plurality of content identities (CIDs) that each identify fragments of content that comprise the VNF, retrieving the plurality of fragments of content by the VNF manager application from a non-transitory memory, and launching the VNF by the VNF manager application by instantiating the fragments of content comprising instructions that implement the VNF on a computer system and configuring the instructions that implement the VNF based on the fragments of content that comprise data.

A method of determining an integrity of an electronic communication device that connects to a 5G core network. The method comprises measuring by an attestation client application executing on the electronic communication device attributes of a universal communication stack (UCS) that executes on the electronic communication device and that promotes communication with the 5G core network; receiving a baseline of UCS attributes comprising norms of UCS attributes and thresholds; comparing measurements of the attributes of the UCS to the baseline by the attestation client application; when the comparisons are within the thresholds, granting communication access by the attestation client application to the 5G core network to a user application that executes on the electronic communication device; and when one of the comparisons exceeds a threshold, denying communication access by the attestation client application to the 5G core network to the user application that executes on the electronic communication device.
