An archery sight with a plurality of sight pins and a perimeter guard essentially surrounding the pins. The sight can be structured such that a first sight pin is disposed at a fixed position, relative to the guard, at a plurality of sight-in distance configurations for the first sight pin. In that case, the position of at least a second sight pin is changed, relative to the guard, as a sight-in distance configuration is changed for the first sight pin. Sights may provide visual cant and/or yaw feedback for an archer. Some guards may be partially or virtually enclosed to resist damage to sight pins or other internal mechanisms, and may provide visual magnification.

Archery sight

A coupling system including a mounting plate for anchoring to a substrate and a pair of clasp elements for anchoring to an object to be coupled to the mounting plate. The mounting plate carries a longitudinal slot disposed at its distal end and a transverse slot disposed at its proximal end. Each clasp element is structured to define a groove shaped, dimensioned, and disposable to effect a press-fit registration with a respective slot. One clasp element is structured to form a press-fit installation into the transverse slot when the other resilient element is installed in press-fit registration in the longitudinal slot. Sometimes, the mounting system may include a deflection-limiting structure operable to resist wobble of a coupled object with respect to the substrate.

Quiver connection system

An archery bow sight that includes a plurality of sight pins projecting from respective pin holders mounted within guide tracks for elevation adjustment. The sight includes a transport element manually driven by a drive element, both of which are positioned outside the guide tracks. The sight also includes a manipulator element, operable in association with the transport element for selectively engaging respective pin holders, whereby to effect selective individual elevation adjustments of sight pins. Generally, at least one pin holder is releasably secured within a first guide track, at least one pin holder is releasably secured within a second guide track and the manipulator element can selectively couple the transport element to either such pin holder. Sometimes, a yardage indicator mechanism is provided to permit returning a moved sight pin to a known sighted-in position for a given target yardage.

A rigging structure for a compound archery bow includes first and second pulley assemblies, pivotally mounted on axles at tips of corresponding first and second limbs of a compound bow and interconnected by cables. Each pulley assembly includes a dynamic synchronizing component, and the rigging preferably also includes structure adapted to avoid the usual leaning moment imposed upon the pulley assemblies by the cables of conventional riggings.

A vibration dampening device for use on compound archery bows. A device may be associated with one or more bow limb, with each device disposing a vibration damping bumper in position to shorten the vibrating length of the bow string at brace, compared to the vibrating length of a bow string of a comparable bow lacking the device(s). Certain embodiments couple bowstring vibration at brace with one or more cable. Preferred embodiments include a limb anchor adapted to distribute string-induced loading onto a bow limb at both sides of a string cam.

Each pulley assembly includes an integral pivot axle, mounted to rotate about an axis at the tip of a limb on which it is mounted. Each pulley assembly also includes a string pulley component fixed to the axle, and having a non-circular peripheral string groove; a cable pulley component fixed to the axle, and having a peripheral cable take-up groove; a bowstring with opposite ends connected to the first and second pulley assemblies such that, at rest condition of the bow, the peripheral string grooves are substantially occupied by wrapped bowstring; a first cable segment, extending from the entry of the peripheral cable take-up groove of the first pulley assembly to an attachment carried by the second limb; and a second cable segment, extending from the entry of the peripheral cable take-up groove of the second pulley assembly to an attachment carried by the first limb.

The bowstring rigging typically includes a power cam associated with the first limb, and a pair of idler wheels associated with the second limb. Drawing the bow by retracting the drawstring to rotate the power cam causes the idler wheels to rotate at different rates of angular displacement. An improved sight for an archery bow providing a mechanism operable to convert a rotational input to a purely translational output. The mechanism may be adapted simultaneously and uniformly to adjust the windage of a plurality of sight pins. In another embodiment, the mechanism may be operable to adjust a vertical position of an individual sight pin carrying a fiber optic pickup.

A rigging structure for a compound archery bow includes first and second pulley assemblies, pivotally mounted on axles at tips of corresponding first and second limbs of a compound bow. Each pulley assembly includes: a central string pulley component with a peripheral string groove; and first and second cable pulley components, each having peripheral cable groves. The first and second cable pulley components are fixed in straddling relation with respect to the string pulley component. A bowstring's opposite ends are connected directly to the first and second pulley assemblies such that, at rest condition of the bow, the peripheral string grooves are substantially occupied by wrapped bowstring. A first cable segment is carried by the first pulley assembly, such that opposite end stretches of the first cable segment extend from the respective cable grooves of the first pulley assembly to anchor to the second bow limb. A second cable segment is carried by the second pulley assembly, such that opposite end stretches of the second cable segment extend from the respective cable grooves of the second pulley assembly to anchor to the first limb.

Compound archery bow

An adjustable eccentric for a compound archery bow includes a let-off adjustment module that pivots between two let-off positions. Adjusting the module between a first let-off position and a second let-off position effectively changes the distance between the cable and the pivot axis of the eccentric at full draw, which changes, in turn, the let off. The eccentric is also adjustable to change the draw length within a given range. A dampening device is further secured to the eccentric at a location on the cable take-up groove to absorb and reduce noise generated upon full draw of the archery bow. A weighted idler may also be provided to reduce undesirable shock or recoil.

A compound bow carries eccentrics, each of which has a non-circular string groove with a geometric center removed from the axis of the eccentric and a take-up groove which is out of registration with the string groove about substantially the entire peripheries of the grooves. The two grooves are carried by respective sheaves rotatably joined through a hub which is itself rotatably connected to one of the sheaves. Other aspects of the present invention relate to a unique idler used in combination with a single-cam embodiment of the present invention.
