An internal combustion engine includes one or more pairs of non-meshing, externally timed rotors disposed within a housing in an expander module and a compressor module. Each rotor includes a cylindrical, center main body including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, an elongate portion extending between the ends and a first peripheral surface portion and a second peripheral surface portion and a bore extending through a center of the main body from the first end to the to second end. The rotors each have a groove extending along outer peripheral edge portions of the rotor. A pair of tip seals is disposed in the grooves. A pair of apex seals is disposed on the first peripheral surface portion and the second peripheral surface portion and an axially floating end plate is disposed at an end of the housing.

Rotary internal combustion engine

A system for allowing a wide selection of components to affect a desired result in the positioning business. Up to nine axes of coordinated motion are offered each of which may use a servomotor, a single or double rod air cylinder. The control for the system is a series of digital commands that cause the cylinder to accelerate, decelerate, maintain a given velocity, stop or pause and repeat a series of commands. It uses a low power servo system which, when activated, opens an air valve to an air cylinder which then moves until the valve actuator is turned off by the cylinder thus causing the air cylinder to follow the lower power servo system.

Multi-axis air/electrical control system

A loading apparatus for vertically stacking a plurality of articles includes a staging assembly. The staging assembly includes a staging platform configured to receive and support the articles. The staging platform is vertically movable to a plurality of vertical levels. The staging assembly further includes a lift drive to raise and lower the staging platform, and a positioning system to move the articles off of the staging platform at selected ones of the plurality of levels. A conveyor assembly is configured to transport the articles to the staging assembly. The positioning system may be operable to remove the articles from the conveyor assembly and position the articles on the staging platform. The positioning system may be operative to position the articles on the staging platform while the lift drive is raising or lowering the staging platform. The conveyor assembly may include a transfer conveyor and a staging conveyor configured to receive the articles from the transfer conveyor, the staging conveyor being movable with the staging platform and pivotally connected to the transfer conveyor.

Multiple level loading apparatus and method

Disclosed is a unique electromagnetic device, e.g. motor, construction in which a cylindrical tubular casing contains a stator assembly, a rotor assembly and bearings. The rotor assembly is supported by the bearings within the tubular casing which are in turn supported by a pair of end bells provided at each axial end of the tubular housing to close the same. Each axial end of the tubular housing contains, on an inner periphery thereof, an annular groove, at least one of the annular grooves having a tapered side wall at that side wall closest to an end of the housing such that the width of the associated groove progressively decreases along its depth. Each of the end bells contains a groove on an outer peripheral surface thereof which fits within the tubular housing, the outer peripheral grooves of the end bells substantially aligning with the interior peripheral grooves of the tubular housing. A pair of C-clips is provided in the opposing grooves at each end of the tubular housing with at least the C-clip provided in the groove with the tapered side wall having a complementary taper so that upon radial expansion of the latter C-clip, an axial force is generated tending to bias the two end bells together to axially clamp and hold together the stator assembly, bearings and rotor assembly.
