A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack and at least one electrical energy storage device that can be electrically connected to and/or disconnected from the fuel cell stack by at least one electronic switching element which is based, for example, on a MOSFET. The fuel cell stack itself is cooled. The at least one switching element is in thermally conductive contact with a cooling circuit for cooling the fuel cell stack, for example, by mounting the switching element on the end plates of the fuel cell stack.

Fuel cell system including a fuel cell stack and at least one electrical energy storage device

A fuel-cell system, in particular for a vehicle, has a device for supplying the operating agents for a fuel cell and an electrical energy accumulator. The energy accumulator is composed of a battery and of an intermediate charge store which has a lower internal resistance than the battery. A switch is provided in the electrical connection between the energy accumulator and the fuel cell.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell unit having an anode side and a cathode side, anode-side feeding and outflow lines for the supply of fuel and removal of anode-side exhaust, and cathode-side feeding and outflow lines for the supply of oxygen and removal of cathode-side exhaust. The fuel cell system also includes means for electrically switching the fuel cell unit on and off depending on the available quantity of fuel.

Fuel cell system and method for operating the fuel cell system

An electronic monitoring unit for an electrical energy storage system that comprises multiple series connected components, includes a corresponding number of measurement devices. Each measurement device is connected to one such component and measures at least one storage status indicator thereof. In one embodiment, the measurement devices are connected in series, and each successive measuring device evaluates the measurement value for its associated storage device relative to measurement data received from the previous measuring device, based on one of more prespecified evaluation criteria. Alternatively, the measurement devices are connected in parallel to a joint signal connection and transfer their measurement values in parallel through the joint signal connection, in a form suitable for the determination of minimum and maximum values.
