The disclosure relates to an electrical breaker device with double movement of its contact systems. An auxiliary gear is designed for driving the second contact systems such that the holding means for holding the rack and pinion gear and the guiding means for slide guiding and slide contacting the auxiliary-gear-driven arcing contact piece are constructed integrally in a monoblock. Embodiments, among others, relate to: a pusher guide slide bearing recessed in the arcing contact piece that is driven by the auxiliary gear; a minimal configuration of the toothed rack drive with only one cogwheel; and a limit stop for defining an end position for the auxiliary-gear-driven arcing contact piece. Advantages, among others, are: auxiliary gear with reduced number of parts, and simplified mounting and adjustment.

The switching chamber is intended for a gas-insulated high-voltage switch. It contains a housing filled with insulating gas and a contact arrangement held in the housing. The contact arrangement has, in a coaxial arrangement, the following components: two switching pieces, which are capable of being moved relative to one another along an axis, with in each case one arcing contact and in each case one tubular conductor containing a rated current contact, an insulating nozzle, and a compression apparatus with a fixed piston and a cylinder. A moveable tubular conductor of the two tubular conductors forms the wall of the cylinder, is electrically conductively and rigidly connected to one of the two arcing contacts via a base of the cylinder and bears the insulating nozzle.

The heavy-duty circuit-breaker with arc blowing has an element which is sensitive to hot gas and/or to gas pressure and is protected by means of a seal against a hot-gas flow. The seal is advantageously a movable non-contacting seal. The seal has a channel entrance for production of a partial hot-gas flow of the hot-gas flow and, connected downstream from this, a channel in order to reduce the mass flow of the partial hot-gas flow, and an expansion chamber in order to expand the volume of the partial hot-gas flow. The expansion chamber is a pressure-relief area. The element may, for example, be a guide element, a contact-making element or a sealing element.

An electrical switching apparatus is disclosed with a moveable insulating nozzle for blowing an arc. According to the invention, the insulating nozzle is connected in an interlocking and force-fitting manner to at least one moveable component part of the switching apparatus by means of a clamping device and without a screw connection. Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: a clamping hold of the insulating nozzle on the moving buffer cylinder and/or at the opposite end on a part to be moved, in particular a moveable shielding electrode or an auxiliary gear mechanism for a contact system, which is driven on both sides. Advantages include: simple fitting of the insulating nozzle, small physical volume of the clamping device; precise coaxial fixing of the insulating nozzle in relation to the switch axis.

The heavy-duty circuit-breaker having an axis (A), and having an arcing contact piece, a current-carrying element and an erosion protection element, with the arcing contact piece having an opening in order to carry an essentially axial flow of a gas which has been heated by an arc, and together with the current-carrying element forms a flat contact (F) in order to carry a short-circuit current (I) which flows through the arcing contact piece and the current-carrying element, and with the erosion protection element essentially shielding the current-carrying element from the flow close to the flat contact (F), is characterized in that the current-carrying element has an axial area in which a radial internal dimension (d) of the current-carrying element increases in steps or continuously as the distance from the flat contact (F), measured parallel to the axis (A), increases.

The switching chamber is intended for a gas-insulated high-voltage circuit breaker. It contains an axially symmetrical housing and a contact arrangement held in the housing with two switching pieces, of which at least one is arranged such that it can move along the housing axis. The switching chamber housing has two hollow bodies consisting of electrically conductive material which can be connected to a high voltage and an insulating tube holding the hollow bodies axially at a distance. A separation zone, which is electrically shielded during operation of the circuit breaker, is formed in the surface of at least one of the two hollow bodies and separates two surface zones having different degrees of roughness from one another in the hollow body. In homogeneities in the surface of the switching chamber housing which may reduce the dielectric strength of the circuit breaker equipped with the switching chamber therefore do not have any effect. For this reason, the switching chamber and the circuit breaker are characterized by a high degree of operational reliability and safety with a simple design.

An operating mechanism for a combined interrupter and disconnect switch comprises an operating crank and an interrupter support housing which are separately rotatable about a common pivotal axis. The interrupter switch is part of a disconnect switch arm and is secured to the support housing. The interrupter contacts are operated by a linearly movable rod which has an end connected to a lever extending from the operating crank and is movable thereby. A crank arm connected to said operating crank is connected to and moved by a linearly movable operating shaft. A spring-biased latch lever is pivotally mounted to the interrupter support housing and releasably engages the free end of the crank arm lever so that the housing rotates with the crank for a first portion of the rotation of the crank and closes the disconnect switch. When the disconnect switch closes, the latch releases and the crank rotates relative to the housing to operate the linearly movable rod which operates the interrupter switch.

Two-step operating mechanism for combined interrupter disconnect switch

A guidance system for an interrupter switcher comprising a first guide positioned in between the contact support and the movable contact system of the interrupter, and a second guide inserted into the stationary contact system of the interrupter. According to the invention the second guide is capable of receiving the nozzle of the movable contact system. An interrupter with the guidance system is assembled by positioning the first guide between the contact support and the movable contact system, positioning the second guide within the stationary contact system, inserting the nozzle of the movable contact system into the second guide, and mounting the stationary contact system in the interrupter housing. The assembly of an interrupter with a guidance system results in a self-adjusting switcher interrupter capable of maintaining a stable alignment between the interrupter's movable and stationary contacts while opening and closing the interrupter.
