Orbital welding device with simpler handling of the measurement of residual oxygen

The disclosure relates to an orbital welding head for an orbital welding apparatus for connecting by means of a cable to a welding current source in a welding current source housing, said current source being equipped with a base controller. The orbital welding head has a tube mount and a welding electrode holder rotatably supported opposite the tube mount for mounting a welding electrode, wherein the orbital welding apparatus has a motor, which is configured in order to drive the welding electrode holder and thus rotate it opposite the tube mount, wherein the orbital welding head has a chamber for inert gas, which is configured in order to surround the welding electrode of the orbital welding head during a welding process and to essentially terminate it outwardly. The orbital welding head has an electronic circuit, which has a memory arranged in the orbital welding head. The electronic circuit is configured in order to store one or more electrode load values of the welding electrode. The electronic circuit of the orbital welding head and/or the base controller is configured such that a maintenance state value of the welding electrode is determined on the basis of the electrode load values, said state being a measure of wear on the welding electrode.

Orbital welding apparatus

An orbital welding device (), having a welding current source () in a welding current source housing () and an orbital welding head (), which is separate from the welding current source housing () and is connected to the welding current source () by a cable (), the orbital welding head () having a pipe mount () and a welding electrode holder () for holding a welding electrode (). An electric motor () is designed to drive the welding electrode holder () and thus turn it with respect to the pipe mount (). The orbital welding head () has a chamber () for shielding gas. An optical oxygen sensor () is designed to measure an oxygen concentration in a measuring region () in the chamber (). The oxygen sensor () is arranged outside the chamber () and is optically coupled to the measuring region () by an optical coupling.

Orbital welding device with improved security and reduced failure probability

A coupling device for the force-related connection of a device for machining pipes or pipe ends to a drive device is provided. With the aim of a high degree of variability, the coupling device has at least one force transmission device with at least one force transmission element for transmitting rotary forces to at least one force absorption element of at least one force absorption device with respect to a drive axis, wherein the at least one force transmission device is configured to be brought into connection optionally and alternately with force absorption devices which each differ in design with respect to the force absorption elements thereof and preferably differ in design with respect to a center distance between the force absorption elements.

The invention relates to a pipe disconnecting device, comprising a disconnecting device, which has a rotary body. The rotary body comprises a tool carrier for a disconnecting tool. A protrusion projects transversely to the rotational axis of the rotary body away from the rotary body or away from the tool carrier. At least one handle is attached to the protrusion, the handle extending across a region of the surface of the protrusion and forming a reach-through opening between the handle and the surface of the protrusion for a hand reaching for the handle.
