A valve device for a fuel tank of a motor vehicle includes, for example, a housing having a tank connection for connecting the valve device to a vent line going to or coming from the fuel tank, and a filter connection for connecting the valve device to a vent line going to or coming from an activated charcoal filter. The tank connection and the filter connection are fluidically connected to one another inside the housing through a vent duct. A valve is arranged inside the housing for opening and at least partially closing the vent duct, wherein the valve has a valve element that is movably mounted between an opening position and a closed position inside the housing along a longitudinal axis of the housing. An actuating element is accessible from outside the valve device, which is movably mounted along the longitudinal axis inside the housing and motion-coupled in such a way with the valve element that a movement of the actuating element in a closing direction moves the valve element in closing direction. A valve element return element is configured to move the valve element in an opening direction, and arranged outside the vent duct, between the valve element and the housing.

A valve suitable for a fuel tank may include a valve housing having a housing part, and a float configured for closing a vent opening, the float being movably arranged inside the valve housing along a middle longitudinal axis running in an axial direction upward or downward. A lower section of the float faces away from the vent opening and faces toward the housing part of the valve housing. At least one spring element is at least partially arranged in or on the housing part and/or is at least partially formed by the housing part. The spring element contacts the float at least when the float moves downward in the valve housing.

The invention refers to a filler neck for the fuel tank of a vehicle that encompasses a refueling channel (), a first opening () and below it, arranged in a transversal wall (), a second opening () that can be closed by a closing device. In a longitudinal section () of the refueling tank () that extends between the transversal wall () and the first opening (), ends a drainage channel () via a drainage opening (). In addition, a closing element () has been arranged in the longitudinal section (), movable between a position that closes the drainage opening () and one position that releases it.

Filler neck for the fuel tank of a vehicle

The device includes a protective mechanism for preventing introduction of a gasoline-type nozzle into an inlet passageway of a fuel tank of a Diesel motor vehicle, the inlet passageway defining a central axis, the protective mechanism comprising two arms mounted at least partially within the inlet passageway, the arms being pivotable around a pivot axis substantially parallel to the central axis. A connector is mounted at least partially within the inlet passageway, the connector being movable in a plane transverse to the central axis, movement of the connector outwardly from an idle position relative to the central axis causing the arms to pivot from an idle position toward a free-flow position. The connector is configured so that insertion of a gasoline-type nozzle into the inlet passageway will not move the arms to the free-flow position, whereas insertion of a Diesel-type nozzle into the inlet passageway will move the arms to the free-flow position.

An automatic tank closure for a motor vehicle tank with a housing having a penetrating input opening and having an opening and closing closure flap with pivotal bearings, which is subjected to spring loading in the closing direction is provided. The closure flap is located within the input opening for the closing of the same and whereby in the closed position between the closure flap and the housing is placed a sealing surface with a sealing seat, which conically widens itself toward the interior of the tank and coacts with a sealing ring. The sealing ring is designed with at least one lip seal and sealingly coacts with the sealing surface.
