A device for producing a functional shaft and a functional shaft are provided in which a functional element which is provided with a pocket is inserted into a retaining element, a shaft is inserted into the pocket, and a force applied to the functional element while the shaft is being inserted into the pocket is measured.

Device for producing a functional shaft

A method for producing a camshaft module and a camshaft module are provided. The camshaft module includes a camshaft and a bearing frame having bearing devices with cut-outs. The camshaft includes a shaft and cams having cut-outs. The shaft has at least two different outside diameters. At least some of the cams and/or some of the bearing devices have cut-outs of differing diameters. The bearing frame is supported during shaft insertion to be movable along a movement axis during production of the camshaft module and to be substantially rigid along an insertion direction of the shaft. The shaft is inserted into the bearing frame in the insertion direction in such a way that interference fit is obtained in each case at least between the shaft and at least some of the cams. A predefined target distance between two elements such as a gear located outside of the bearing frame and a cam or bearing device located inside of the bearing frame adjacent to the element outside of the bearing frame may be obtained by partially inserting the shaft, determining a distance between the two elements, and applying an insertion force to the shaft based on the determined distance to advance the shaft to result in setting the distance between the two elements to the target distance.

Method for producing a camshaft module and corresponding camshaft module

A bearing arrangement for a camshaft and a camshaft are provided. The bearing arrangement includes a bearing point in a bearing support frame that receives a camshaft, a bearing rolling-element cage and a bearing outer sleeve. The rolling-element cage and the outer sleeve are configured such that the outer diameter of the outer sleeve is smaller than the inside diameter of the bearing point and the outer diameter of the rolling-element cage is smaller than the inner diameter of the outer sleeve. The rolling-element cage may be provided with retention features that axially secure the cage to the outer sleeve. The rolling-element cage and/or the outer sleeve may be provided with collars that axially constrain the bearing relative to the support frame. A camshaft including at least one such bearing arrangement is also provided.

A camshaft assembly, particularly for use in an internal combustion engine, having a shaft base body and a plurality of cam parts. In order to be able to selectively shut down individual cylinders, cam parts are provided with cams which are arranged so as to be rotationally fixed and axially displaceable in relation to the shaft base body. Depending on a desired sequence of axially fixed and axially displaceable cam parts, it is proposed to arrange the axially displaceable cam parts on a longitudinally extending profile in an axially displaceable manner and to push the axially fixed cam parts&#x2014;insofar as these are necesary&#x2014;over or across the receiving area for the axially displaceable cam parts and to secure them to the shaft.
