A bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller, in particular a strand-guiding roller in a strandguiding device. The bearing block is designed as a solid casting having an integrated internal coolant channel. The coolant channel has an inlet and an outlet for coolant. In order to enable an improvement in the product quality of the cast slabs, the bearing block has a rotational speed sensor for sensing the rotational speed of the roller.

Method for the production of a strip made of steel

A continuous-casting unit produces a longitudinally extending and traveling strand having a solid shell and a liquid core. A strand-guiding apparatus has a plurality of longitudinally spaced section frames and respective pairs of roller assemblies carried on the frames and transversely flanking and bearing transversely on the strand. Each pair forms a gap through which the strand passes, and each roller assembly is formed by two aligned subrollers. A respective center is provided bearing between the subrollers of each roller assembly and bracing inner ends of the respective subrollers transversely against the respective frame. Respective outer rollers at outer ends of the subrollers of each roller assembly brace the respective outer ends transversely against the respective frame. The subrollers are shaped or supported on the respective frame such that in an unloaded condition the gap is transversely narrower at the center bearing than at the outer bearing.

Metal-strip guiding apparatus

A continuous casting mold includes mold plates which enclose the casting cross section and in which cooling channels extend. The mold plates are connectable to a water box by screw elements which are formed by fastening bolts having a threaded shank which is screwable into fastening threads located in the mold plate. To achieve a uniform cooling in a continuous casting mold, the fastening threads are arranged such that their center longitudinal axes extend between two adjacent coolant channels of the plurality of cooling channels. The diameter of each threaded bore hole of the fastening threads is greater than the distance between the two adjacent cooling channels, and each bore hole of the fastening threads ends at a distance from the floor of the plurality of cooling channels to define the screw-in depth of the fastening bolts.

Extrusion die

The present invention is based on the object of enhancing a known positioning device such that it also enables the use of rod-shaped measuring devices having a uniform length, even for measuring points located at varying depths of an object, such as an extrusion die. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a sleeve is provided, which is connected at an axial extension to the distal end of the cylindrical guide element from the object, and in which the spring element and the measuring apparatus are also guided, and that the second stop for the spring element can be axially displaced beyond the distal end of the cylindrical guide element from the object with the help of the sleeve, and fixed.

In order to constructively simplify the broadside in view of the adjustment of a generally constant flow rate of a cooling medium through the cooling channel, it is proposed to design the recesses (A, . . . , A) in such a way, that they cross the cooling channel () diagonally to its longitudinal direction. Moreover, the recesses (A, . . . , A) are in their expansion in longitudinal direction of the cooling channel confined to a section of the cooling channel, and in this direction they have a rectangular-shaped and/or wedge-shaped cross-section, so that the depth of the cooling channel () in the broadside () in the area of the crossing recesses (A, . . . , A) changes step-like and/or linearly and is filled with corresponding filler elements.

A method for hot dip galvanizing of hot-rolled steel strip, wherein in a first method step, the strip ( ) is introduced into a pickling station ( ) and a layer of scale and reaction products are removed from the strip surface in the pickling station.
