An orthopaedic alignment guide component is provided for preparing a patient's bone socket, such as the glenoid of the patient's scapula, to receive a prosthetic glenoid component. The orthopaedic alignment guide component includes a guide body for inserting a guide pin into the patient's scapula and an inferior referencing arm for referencing an inferior surface of the patient's scapula.

The invention relates to a base platform () for an artificial joint, in particular for an artificial shoulder joint, wherein the platform can be anchored on the bone and serves as a support for an artificial joint component () that can be provided both in the form of a shell component () for an anatomical configuration and also in the form of a ball component () for an inverse configuration, and wherein different joint components can be mounted on the platform.

The invention relates to a shoulder joint prosthesis comprising two cooperating bearing bodies, a shaft and a coupling for the connection of the shaft to one of the bearing bodies, with a support member adjoining the lower side of the bearing member connectable to the shaft, an outer support surface of said support member at least partly filling a gap present between the bearing body and the shaft in the state connected to the shaft such that the growing together of bone fragments is promoted.

Shoulder joint prosthesis

A shoulder joint prosthesis is shown having two bearing bodies () which slide on one another and which can be respectively connected to the upper arm () by a shaft () and to the shoulder bone () by a platform (). When the connection to the shaft () is brought about by a non-rotationally symmetrical, conical body () with a self-locking seat, with its periphery () being form matched to a mating shape () in the shaft () which is rotationally fixed relative to a longitudinal axis () arid keyed by the taper so that the connection is releasable and repeatedly fixable in the same angular position, large forces can be transmitted by the connection.

The invention shows an artificial finger joint comprising a convex joint head and comprising a concave joint shell which can be fastened independently of one another with a respective shaft in a bone end and which can be moved in an articulation plane from an extension position with parallel shaft axes into a hyperextension position or into an articulation end position. A guide pin projects out of the joint shell in the direction of its shaft axis and protrudes into a pocket of the joint head, with the pocket having a first abutment for the guide pin in the hyperextension position. A second abutment between the joint shell and the joint head prevents a tilting of the guide pin and shaft of the joint shell about the first abutment in hyperextension position.
