An insulation monitor for a high-voltage onboard electrical system of a motor vehicle is provided. A respective Y-capacitor is arranged between the positive potential and the vehicle earth and between the negative potential and the vehicle earth. The insulation monitor has a current or voltage source, a voltmeter for measuring at least one of the potentials, and is configured to apply a negative current by the current source when the potential measured by the voltmeter exceeds a predefined upper value and to apply a positive current by the current source when the potential measured by the voltmeter falls below a predefined lower value. The current thus being limited to a maximum permissible contact current in the case of an insulation fault and it is possible to infer the magnitude of the insulation resistances using the voltage measured by the voltmeter and the recharging current that has been fed in.

Insulation monitor and method for operating same

A component arrangement for an electric high-voltage on-board power supply of a vehicle includes a shared EMC filter, a shared intermediate circuit, a plurality of electrical components, and a shared housing. The shared EMC filter and the shared intermediate circuit are provided for the plurality of electrical components. The plurality of electrical components are disposed in the shared housing together with the shared EMC filter and the shared intermediate circuit. The plurality of electrical components are interconnected in parallel with the shared intermediate circuit and the shared EMC filter and there is otherwise no electrical connection between them.

Component arrangement for an electrical high-voltage on-board power supply of a vehicle

An onboard electrical system is disclosed that includes first, second and third onboard electrical sub-systems for an electric drive unit, electric components and a vehicle battery of a vehicle, respectively. In addition, the system includes a charging terminal, wherein a changeover switch, a first switch element, and a second switch element of the onboard electrical system are physically separated from one another. The charging terminal is galvanically connected to the third onboard electrical sub-system by the first switch element and to the second onboard electrical sub-system by the changeover switch during an electric charging mode of the vehicle battery. The first onboard electrical sub-system is galvanically connected to the third onboard electrical sub-system of the second switch element and to the second onboard electrical sub-system by the changeover switch during a driving mode of the vehicle.

A motor vehicle shell of a motor vehicle includes a frame structure that is formed by crossmembers and by longitudinal members. The frame structure is closed peripherally and protrudes downwardly in a vertical direction of the motor vehicle from a base element. A receiving chamber for receiving an electrical energy store is delimited by the frame structure. A cover is formed separately from the frame structure and is disposed opposite the base element. The receiving chamber is closed downwardly in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle by the cover. An annular and dimensionally stable intermediary element is formed separately from the frame structure and separately from the cover. The intermediary element is disposed between the frame structure and the cover and the intermediary element is fixed at least in a liquid-tight manner on the frame structure by a firmly bonded connection.
