A coffee machine for preparing coffee, especially based on coffee pads, includes a continuous heater provided with a water-guiding tube that is thermally connected to at least one heating rod via at least one contact surface. A pump transports water through the continuous heater. The contact surface is embodied in such a way that it is flat between the tube and the at least one heating rod. The coffee machine structure provides a simple and cost-effective solution for a continuous heater, and ensures good heat transfer.

A coffee machine, especially an espresso machine, comprising a brew chamber provided with at least one coffee outlet, a height-adjustable spout for ejecting coffee, and an impact surface arranged upstream of said spout. The aim of the invention is to ensure that, despite the fact that the height of the spout can be adjusted, the coffee produced is of a consistently high quality. To this end, the impact surface is arranged at a fixed distance from the coffee outlet, coffee passing through said outlet hitting the impact surface and being guided to the spout from the impact surface.

A method for controlling heating processes in a coffee machine which is particularly suitable for preparing coffee on the basis of coffee pads. The coffee machine comprises a continuous flow heater and a pump used to convey water through the continuous flow heater. According to the inventive method, the temperature is measured in the region of the continuous flow heater and/or water which is conveyed by the pump. In order to avoid steam overpressure and to ensure a sufficient, constant temperature during the entire steeping process, the amount of water which is conveyed by the pump is influenced according to temperature. The invention also relates to an electronic control device.
