A door lock for a domestic electrical appliance such as, for example, a washing machine of the top loader type includes a lock module, a housing shell for the floating mounting of the lock module on a housing wall portion of a body of the domestic appliance, a locking member which is arranged to be movable between an unlocking position and a locking position, and an electrically controllable actuator for actuating the locking member. The lock module has an insertion opening for insertion of a closing element on closing of the door of the domestic appliance. The locking member in its unlocking position allows the closing element to move out of the insertion opening and in the locking position effects blocking of the closing element against moving out of the insertion opening. At least one centring slope for the closing element is formed at the insertion opening.

A door latch for a domestic electrical appliance wherein the door latch comprises a rotary gripper which, on closing of a door, can be transferred from a release position into a gripping position by rotation in a rotational plane, and an electrically controllable locking mechanism having a movably arranged blocking element which, in the gripping position of the rotary gripper, can be fixed in a blocking position in which the blocking element cooperates with the rotary gripper to block the movement of the rotary gripper both from the gripping position into the release position and from the gripping position into a yielding position. The rotary gripper forms a gripping mouth which in the gripping position is oriented to hold captive a closing shackle which, on closing of the door, moves relatively closer to the rotary gripper along a closing path and arranged for a yielding movement into the yielding position.

A door lock for a domestic electrical appliance comprises a movably arranged locking member, which is selectively adjustable into an unlocking position and a locking position and in the unlocking position permits the opening of a closed door of the domestic appliance and in the locking position is in blocking engagement with a blockable component, at least when the door is closed. The blocking engagement causes the closed door to be blocked against opening. The door lock further comprises an electrically controllable actuator for actuating the locking member, and an electrical door detection switch that switches depending on the closing of the door. The doer lock also comprises an electrical auxiliary switch device, which selectively opens or closes an electrical shunt path to the door detection switch depending on the position of the locking member.

A door lock for a domestic electrical appliance includes a locking member which is electrically switchable between an unlocking position and a locking position, which locking member in the unlocking position allows a closed door of the domestic appliance to be opened and in the locking position is in blocking engagement with a blockable component at least when the door is closed, and an auxiliary member, separate from the blockable component, which is movable in dependence on the closing of the door from a release position into a blocking position. The blocking engagement effects blocking of the closed door against opening. In the release position, the auxiliary member allows the locking member to be transferred from the unlocking position into the locking position; in contrast, in its blocking position, the auxiliary member blocks the locking member against being transferred from the unlocking position into the locking position.

A door latch for a domestic electrical appliance includes a latch assembly that includes a locking element arranged to be displaceable between an unlocking position and a locking position, and an arresting element which moves from its release position into the arresting position as the door is closed. The arresting element in the arresting position can be locked by means of the locking element against movement into the release position and in the locked state prevents the closed door from opening. The latch assembly further includes an electric switch which, when the door is closed, responds to a movement of the locking element from the unlocking position into the locking position, and a switch auxiliary control member which, as the door is closed, is urged by the closing body from an active position against a restoring spring force into an inactive position.

A door lock for a household electrical appliance has an electric door switch with two contact elements, a pusher and a pusher control element. The pusher presses against a first contact element that holds the door switch in one of the two switching states. When the pusher is displaced from a first pusher position to a second pusher position, the door switch transfers into the other of the two switching states. The pusher control element, which is movable relative to the pusher, moves from one of the two control positions to the other on closing of the door. The pusher control element has a control path where a first path section blocks the pusher against displacement from the first pusher position to the second pusher position and a second path section provides the pusher with space for a displacement from the first pusher position to the second pusher position.

Door lock with door switch

An appliance lock includes a housing and a lid movable between an open and closed positions. First and second sliders supported for movement by the housing. A striker is attachable to the other of the appliance body and lid. The striker is connectable with the housing upon movement of the lid to the closed position. The striker has a first portion for engaging and moving the first slider from a first position to a second position upon lid movement to the closed position. The striker has a second portion for engaging and moving the second slider from a first position to a second position upon lid movement to the closed position. The first and second sliders being in the second positions enables activation of the appliance. Structure minimizes the ability to move the first and second sliders to the second position by substantially anything but the striker.

Appliance lock

A dish washer comprises a carcass having a washing compartment accessible through an access opening, and a door attached to the carcass for closing the access opening. The door is bounded on its door side facing the washing compartment by a door inner wall, which provides sealing contact surfaces for a sealing arrangement attached to the carcass. A door latch comprises a latch head attached to the door and fixed relative to the latter, and a latch unit arranged on the carcass and having two latch arms which are movable relative to one another and embrace the latch head on both sides when the door is closed. On closing the door the latch head runs against the latch arms and pushes apart the latter from a relative rest position against spring force. The latch head rises preferably completely above the surface contour of the door inner wall.

A door lock for a dishwashing machine includes a lock housing, a pair of closing arms being held in and projecting from the lock housing and having free arm portions projecting from the lock housing that are deflectable relative to one another from a relative normal position in a first deflection direction counter to the action of a resetting spring arrangement, and a closing mouth, into which the free arm portions engage during closing of the door, having deflection surfaces encountered by the free arm portions during engagement into the closing mouth and which bring about a relative deflection of the free arm portions counter to the resetting action of the resetting spring arrangement, where the free arm portions during further engagement is move past the deflection surfaces and in so doing experience an at least partial resetting in the direction of their relative normal position.
