An electronic switch for connecting units of a power supply system has a semiconductor switch, an actuation circuit and a current/voltage sensor for detecting current flow through the electronic switch. The actuation circuit operates the semiconductor switch, depending on oscillations measured by the current/voltage sensor, in an activated state, a deactivated state or a linear mode. A power supply system having the electronic switch for connecting with the electronic switch two electrical sub-networks and a method for operating the electronic switch are also disclosed. The semiconductor switch is operated at least temporarily in the linear mode for damping oscillations.

Electronic switch as a damping element

A DC voltage grid includes an electrical conductor electrically interconnecting electrical components, with a DC voltage applied between parts of the electrical conductor. An actuator is configured to vary the DC voltage such that a value of the DC voltage depends on at least one state of the DC voltage grid. Information about the at least one state is transmitted to the electrical components of the DC voltage grid by way of the DC voltage. A wind farm having wind turbines connected to such a DC voltage grid and a method for operating such a DC voltage grid or such a wind farm are also disclosed. The DC voltage of the DC voltage grid is controlled or regulated depending on a state of the DC voltage grid.

DC voltage grid with variable voltage

An electronic switch includes a current sensor and a semiconductor switch having two semiconductors configured to carry and disconnect a current in both directions, and a control circuit configured to operate the semiconductor switch by pulse-width modulation and to determine a phase control factor of the pulse-width modulation as a function of measurement values of the current sensor such that in fault-free operation, the electronic switch remains in the ON state and that two limit values exist for protection. The electronic switch is operated by pulse-width modulation when a first one of the two limit values is exceeded, and the electronic switch is switched off when a second one of the two limit values, which is greater than the first limit value, is exceeded. The electronic switch is configured to reduce an edge steepness of a switching edge as the phase control factor decreases.

Electronic switch with current regulation

An electronic switch includes switching modules to change a forward resistance of a semiconductor switch via a drive circuit depending on data exchanged via a data interface and depending on measurement values of a current sensor. The semiconductor switches of the switching modules are arranged electrically in parallel and a current through the electronic switch is divided among the semiconductor switches. The electronic switch controls a division of the current through the electronic switch among the semiconductor switches via the drive circuits by changing a forward resistance of the semiconductor switches, synchronously switches the semiconductor switches via the drive circuit and operates the semiconductor switches in a linear region in a time range of 1 &#x3bc;s to 10 &#x3bc;s upon a change between ON and OFF and a change between OFF and ON in such a way that the current through the switching modules is reduced in a controlled manner.

Switch module for an electronic switch

An apparatus for connecting a converter to an AC voltage grid has a grid connection for connection to the AC voltage grid and a converter connection for connection to the converter. The grid connection and the converter connection can be connected to one another via two transformers that are connected in parallel with one another and which, in addition to a primary winding and a secondary winding, are equipped with a tertiary winding. At least one switch is connected in series with each transformer. A connection unit is connected to the tertiary windings of each of the transformers and is configured to connect the tertiary windings to one another.

Transformer connection apparatus

Energy storage modules generally include a housing with component parts arranged therein. The component parts are in this case either capacitors, for example double-layer capacitors and/or electrolyte capacitors. According to the invention, a filler is provided in the housing and binds electrolyte liquid occurring in the even of damage or else electrolyte gases. Beds of material with a large specific surface area, such as zeolites or else active carbons, are suitable as fillers. The surfaces are also possibly catalytically coated.

Energy storage module

One embodiment of the present invention discloses, inter alia, a rail vehicle with a wagon body and with contact devices which are connected to the wagon body and which remain in contact with at least one rail on the track side during operation of the rail vehicle, wherein the wagon body and at least one of the contact devices are connected to each other through an electrical resistance device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the resistance device includes a greater electric resistance in a voltage region with low voltage than in a voltage region with comparatively higher voltage.
