A power tool, in particular an electric screwdriver, includes (i) a housing; (ii) an electric motor which is located in the housing and by way of which an insert tool located in a tool holder can be rotationally driven; (iii) and a control device which is designed to control a braking process of the electric motor in response to a braking request in order to stop the rotating insert tool. The braking process includes countercurrent braking. A method for braking an electric motor of a power tool, a computer program, and a machine-readable storage medium are also disclosed.

Power tool

A hand-held power tool, in particular a screwdriver, includes a housing, in which at least one drive unit for driving a tool holder is arranged, the tool holder being designed to hold an insertion tool. The hand-held power tool further includes a torque setting device for setting a specified torque at least within specified limits. The torque setting device has a screw thread region and a spring-loaded setting unit for setting the specified torque. The setting unit is operatively connected to the screw thread region. The torque setting device is assigned a compression spring which is coaxial to the screw thread region. The compression spring is arranged such that the screw thread region surrounds the compression spring at least partly with respect to the axial direction of the drive unit.

Hand-held power tool having a torque setting device

A hand-held power tool includes a tool housing on which an ergonomic handle is formed for a user's hand, including the user's thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and small finger. The handle includes a first region for the index finger and the thumb, a second region for the middle finger, a third region for the ring finger, and a fourth region for the small finger. The second region has an approximately oval cross section with a first main axis and a first secondary axis. The third region has an approximately oval cross section with a second main axis and a second secondary axis. The fourth region has an approximately oval cross section with a third main axis and a third secondary axis. The first main axis is longer than the second main axis, and the first secondary axis is shorter than the second and third secondary axes.

Hand-held power tool with an ergonomic handle

A handheld power tool, in particular a power drill or power screwdriver, has a tool holder, which is displaceably received in a housing and which can be driven via a drive unit; a microswitch that can switch the drive unit on and off is provided, which is switchable upon an axial displacement motion of the tool holder via an actuating element. The actuating element is joined axially solidly to the tool holder, so that the axial displacement motion of the tool holder at the same time acts as the displacement motion of the actuating element, which motion actuates the microswitch.

Handheld power tool, in particular a power drill or screwdriver

A handheld power tool has a tool holder, which is received displaceably in a housing and is drivable via a drive unit that can be switched on and off upon an axial adjusting motion of the tool holder. A lighting unit on the handheld power tool can be switched on and/or off via the adjusting motion of the tool holder.

A hand-held power tool, in particular a rotary hammer, is indicated that includes a machine housing () with a tool fitting () integrated therein, the tool fitting () being rotatably drivable in a first mode and being non-rotatably fixable on the machine housing () in a second mode, and that includes a duty-type switch () with a coupling element () capable of being displaced to activate the modes, and an actuating element () that induces its displacement. To prevent maloperation and resultant damage to the machine when the operator switches between modes, the actuating element is designed as an electrical actuator (), preferably as an electromagnet () controlled by an electronic control unit () (FIG.).

Hand-held power tool

A hand power tool has an electric motor, which is located in a housing and by way of which a tool insert located in a tool retainer is drivable in rotation, a guard device with which an uncontrollable blockage of the tool insert is detectable via a sensor unit and with which the housing is blockable in its motion; the guard device includes a mechanical unlocking unit that is manually actuatable by a user's action force, and gear is actuatable via an on/off switch for actuating the unlocking unit.
