A method for automatically mounting a connector housing with a contact part attached to an electrical line includes holding the contact part, determining an actual rotational position of the contact part, comparing the actual rotational position with a predetermined rotational position, and performing a rotational position correction thereby aligning the connector part to the connector housing. The connector housing is fixed to a holder and the contact part is inserted into a cavity of the connector housing by means of a movable gripper.

Method for automatically mounting a connector-housing

A device for automatically mounting a connector-housing with a contact-part attached to an electrical line includes a holder, a movable-gripper, an alignment-station, a camera, and a control-device. The holder fixes the connector-housing. The movable-gripper holds the contact-part and inserts the contact-part into a cavity of the connector-housing. The alignment-station includes an alignment-gripper that holds the contact-part and rotates the contact-part about a rotation-axis parallel to an insertion-direction. The camera determines an actual-rotational-position of the contact-part held by the alignment-gripper in relation to the rotation-axis. The control-device compares the actual-rotational-position with a predetermined-rotational-position based on the characteristics and arrangement of the connector-housing. The control-device further controls the alignment-gripper to perform a corrective rotational movement based on the result of the comparison.

Device for automatically mounting a connector-housing

A method for calibrating a mounting-device used for automatically mounting a contact-part attached to an electrical line with a connector-housing includes the steps of providing the mounting-device, marking a plurality of marking-points, capturing an image of the plurality of marking-points, and determining the positions of the plurality of marking-points. The mounting-device comprises a holder for the connector-housing, a positioning-device that includes a moveable-gripper that includes a marking-device, a camera configured to capture an image of a portion of the holder, and a control unit in communication with the positioning-device, the camera, and the moveable-gripper. The control unit determines the positions of the marking-points based on the image. The positions are indicative of an actual insertion-position of the contact-part into the connector-housing by the moveable-gripper. The control unit stores the positions of the marking-points in a memory of the control unit.

Method for calibrating a mounting device

A method to fit a contact portion in a plug housing by a robot is presented. Steps in the method include attaching a plug housing to a holder and gripping the contact portion by a gripping device of the robot. Other steps in the method include taking at least one spatially resolved picture by at least one optical detection device such that the plug housing and the contact portion are contained in the picture, determining a respective position of the plug housing and the contact portion in the picture by a control unit of the moveable robot, calculating a robot movement by the control unit that is a function of the determined positions, and performing the calculated movement by the robot to fit the contact portion in the plug housing. An apparatus to perform the method and another method to calibrate the control unit of the robot are also presented.

Method for fitting of a plug housing

A local network comprises at least one master and a plurality of slaves which can be controlled by the master via a data bus, with at least one slave being arranged in an unprotected region and at least one slave being arranged in n protected region. In this connection, data originating from a respective slave in the unprotected region can admittedly be transmitted via the data bus to the master, but not to any slave in the unprotected region.
