A power skiving tool, having a shank extending along a longitudinal axis of the tool and a cutting head arranged at a front end of the shank. The cutting head comprises a plurality of circumferentially arranged teeth, wherein each of these teeth comprises a planar rake face at a front end of the cutting head that faces away from the shank, wherein the rake face is inclined at an angle other than 90° with respect to the longitudinal axis. A transition face is in each case arranged between the rake faces of two adjacent teeth. The transition face is arranged at the front end of the cutting head and adjoins the rake faces of the two adjacent teeth. Surface normals in all points of the transition face form an angle greater than 0° with the rake faces of the two adjacent teeth.

Power skiving tool

The present invention relates to a tool () for machining a workpiece, comprising a cutting head () which comprises a sleeve () and a cutting element () which is fixed to the sleeve (), and comprising a holder () to which the cutting head () can be detachably fixed. In an assembled state of the tool (), the cutting head () and holder () are screwed to each other via an internal thread () which is arranged in the sleeve () and an external thread () which corresponds thereto and which is arranged on the holder (). In addition, in the assembled state of the tool (), the cutting head () and holder () contact each other along a first axial bearing surface () which is arranged on the sleeve () and a second axial bearing surface () which corresponds thereto and which is arranged on the holder (), and along a first conical bearing surface () which is arranged on the sleeve () and a second conical bearing surface () which corresponds thereto and which is arranged on the holder ().

Tool for machining a workpiece

A whirling tool configured to machine a workpiece. The whirling tool includes a plurality of cutting inserts, a cutting insert carrier, and a coolant channel which is arranged in the cutting insert carrier. The cutting insert carrier includes a plurality of cutting insert receptacles for receiving and releasably fastening respectively one of the cutting inserts. The cutting insert receptacles are arranged distributed in the circumferential direction over the cutting insert carrier. The cutting insert carrier further includes a through-opening which extends along a central axis of the cutting insert carrier, and through which the workpiece can be passed during the machining. The cutting inserts protrude into the through-opening, and the coolant channel extends between an inlet opening and an outlet opening, wherein the outlet opening leads into the through-opening and/or is oriented towards the through-opening.
